Just wanted to make a quick announcement about the birth of my BLUE bundle, baby Elliott...
My waters went in the early hours of the sunday morning, after a trip to the hospital i was sent back home (my waters had gone) and advised to come back that night for some monitoring, We went back and informed to call the delivery suite at 6.30 the following morning to be induced.
Arrived at the hospital, not sure about the times from here but was put on the drip, contractions started to come quick and painful, was given gas and air and then offered and epidural which i accepted. After i was given the epidural i was only numb down one part of my body and had excrusiating pain in my left hip (i had previous damage in my hip from a spell in the RAF) another dr came to check it and the drip thing had come out my back so he put another in my spine and again it didnt work on my left side just made my right side useless!!! I remember saying they could of chopped my leg off and i wouldnt of felt it!!!
After agony with my hip i was able to push which i did for about 2 hours, they had to give me an episiotomy and they midwife needed another pair of scissors as the ones she had been trying to cut me with were blunt!!!!
So after i was cut with some sharp scissors baby Elliott arrived, my partner informed me we had a little boy and cut his cord. I managed some cuddles while i was stitched inside and out...
It was horrible and i wont be doing it again in a rush after 2 days of labour and all the problems with the pain relief but i guess the thing is i WOULD do it again....
Here is my little man with a milk tash...
