Early private scan

Hi ladies,

Just wondering how many of you are having a private scan?

I have booked for when I'll be between 8/9 weeks but I'm desperate to go sooner (maybe 7/8 wk).

What did you see on yours from 6-9 weeks, would love to see your pics!!!

Part of me thinks I need to be patient so we see more but I'm so excited and want it to feel real!

I had an 5 & 8 week scan with my first. This time I've had nhs scans anyway. One at 5 weeks, 6+3 and then 8+3. I will add pics in a min. I would say wait until 8 weeks as Baby will have more of a baby shape lol but if you can't wait then you should see a heartbeat from 6 weeks. But book in for 7 Incase you're a little earlier xx

This was my scan at 9 weeks with my son I had a scan at 7 weeks but baby just looked like a wee smudge, you're better holding off to 8-9 weeks if you want to see something

Hi there

I had my first wee boys early scan at 7w - just mainly seen a wee blob (with heart beat).

This one I went at 8w and have attached a pic. Seen a little arm waving and baby lying on his side.

Selina, if it's reassurance that it's a viable pregnancy & worried about that then go earlier. However, if you're hoping to see something more than a flickering blob /smudge then as others have posted keep your original scan appointment. You'll see so much more. Congrats & good luck 🍀
