we got ours for £20 in comet or currys and it works really well...good for sofas, beds etc too

I am also a member of the Dyson fan club.

I am on my second one and I love them. My DH tried to talk me in to buying a cheaper bagless hoover after the first one died but I was having none of it, it was either a Dyson or he does the hoovering himself. Needless to say I got a Dyson.

Do any of you find that your DH's are unable to figure out how to work a Dyson and all of the different attachements, mine just stares at it like it's going to bite him. :rotfl:

Em xxxxx

emma c my husband doesn't even know where the fooinh dyson is kept let alone how the tools work  yet he goes ape if he doesn't know where the flicker for the tv is

No, mines the opposite. Now he WANTS to do the hoovering!

I'm not letting him though!

theres no way on earth my husband will ever get his hands on my dylan! NO WAY!!!! :shakehead:

My DH only wants to put his hands on my Dyson when he wants to hoover his precious car!!!!!!!!

I once had to have an operation and was unable to do the hoovering for a while so I asked him to hoover the bedroom for me and when I checked (as you do) to see if he had done it there were still dog hairs around the bed so when I asked him why he said he only hoovered around my side of the bed as he wasnt bothered about his side!!! :wall: ARGHHHH

:rotfl: OMG! That's so like something my OH would say!

Can I join in???

I have to say I lurve Dysons and have now got 2! I have a cylinder downstairs where we have all laminate and an upright upstairs where we have all carpet... I found the cylinder was excellent for getting in the nooks and crannies but crap for doing the carpets and vice versa!! (Also I have a mobility problem and can't carry heavy things up and down the stairs!)

I did have an electrolux upright but it was so awful I made hubby get rid of it and got the dyson instead!!!!!

Word of warning...

I am on my second Dyson now (same as yours MissLarue).

Please do think about buying the extended warranty, it may well prove very worthwhile.

After my first one went a bit rubbish I got the DC08, its about 18 months old now and since the first one didn't last too long I decided to buy the extended warranty, boy am i glad I did!

When it stopped sucking after a few months I got the engineer out, hubby was here as I was at work, but basically the engineer showed DH how to dismantle the top and unclog the cyclones or something.

(its a downright lie when they say they don't lose suction, no idea how they get away with that!)

the engineer left us a brand new filter and dyson sent out a whole new top half (the lilac part) and a new turbo tool.

It now works really well again and we now know how to fix it if it happens again.

So give it some thought, even if you don't normally bother!
