dummy rules for your 1 year old

Like Froslass, at 7 weeks Brooke became desperate to suck something when we were putting her down for naps/bed so we tried the dummy & she loves it. She only has it for sleep though x

Arthur has a dummy only for daytime naps. He doesnt seem to need it to sleep at night or after a feed. If he wakes and I don't feed him a dummy sometimes helps him sleep. I have to say I think it's horrible seeing toddlers walking around with a dummy in. I think I'll remove it from his daytime naps as soon as he's old enough to understand. He's a bit young at the moment.

I saw a girl who must've been about 4 or 5 the other day, horrendously overweight (had boobs, she was that big), with a big pink dummy in her mouth and a 'playboy' t-shirt on. I was horrified!

^^^ I really worry about what some parents are thinking of dressing their kids in playboy stuff!

I try to only let Henry have his when he goes in his cot, but he seem's to have them hid all over the house so manages to find at least one every day :/

I'm thinking about weaning him off it in the next few month's, I know he can sleep with out one,he's done it a few time's, but people never stick to my way so I could get it off him at home, then he'd stop at my mums and she would give it him back.
