Why do people feel the need to get their opinions across and don't really get the full extent of what we are going through. The MIL is already discussing adoption, I mean come on last week we found all this out and she doesn't really get egg donation, we need to do what is right for us. Also we are looking at bring our wedding forward to next month, maybe go abroad. We were getting married next year but can't focus on that as all our energy and money needs to go into treatment/ ivf etc.. You would think people would get our reasons for doing this but they aren't and I had to rant!!!! Feel better now anyway xx

oh dear, MIL's and weddings are never a good mix never mind adding ttc into it all!

Sorry you're having problems, I'm not up to speed with your story but I hope you find happiness in whatever route you go down.

Thanks, sometimes just need to get it all out. I've been diagnosed high very high fsh. ( only last week) what people don't get is its almost 2014 and so much can be done these days. We aren't giving up easily xx

Family can be such a hindrance. My family haven't asked us about IVF because it wasn't around when I was adopted so I think older people only think adoption is an option.
I have to keep my distance from certain family members and not give them any info because it just makes it worse. I really hope your MIL stops sticking her nose in and interferring. Maybe you could tell her that you've got tests and treatment planned so there won't be any news for a while and you'll update her in about 6 months?

It was bad enough keeping things quiet with the wedding, but now this, they really don't understand. Think we will just have to say we are having tests etc... Waiting for scan and say no more, they are only up the road so no escape.

Families hey.

As a side note we got married abroad, it was fabulous I highly recommend it. It was great value for money and we wouldn't do it differently at all. We went to Canada and got married on the edge of a beautiful lake. My cousin also married abroad, they chose Thailand and had an elephant as a guest. Loads of great options to browse if you are seriously considering it.

Well today we told them we are pursuing privately and want everyone on our side. We are gonna hold back on the wedding a bit but could easily run off to gretna green lol
