Drinking water then doing an OPK

I've been trying to drink 3 pints of water a day as part of a new healthy regime.

Today I got EWCM on the day I expect, Day 12 (which is consistent with other months of getting it, and also getting a smiley face on the clear blue OPK).

I poas and got a blank face - do you think maybe the pee was too dilute to detect?

I'll do a test tomorrow aswell...just a thought.

I read somewhere - and it referred to hpts not opks that so long as your urine is light straw colour - its strong enough to test. Wonder if same applies to opks?

I'm pretty sure it can affect the result if you've drunk a lot before testing. It will say in the instructions.
