I'm really sorry but this week I'm uber excited for my first Christmas as a mummy and daddy.
I know Mr J will be too little to know about it, but I wondered if anyone had good ideas for a 5-6 month old, im also starting a Christmas eve box.
So far I have ordered a leapfrog scout and talking lapup.

When my little one had his first Christmas I bought a lot of clothes, toys as well, but bulked out with clothes.

Enjoy :) I love Christmas

Oh I can't flipping wait!

I will have a ten month old, so the boxes will be more fun than the toys.
My step and brought my son a leapfrog scout when he was 5/6 months old and it's brilliant! It plays bedtimes tunes too so he falls asleep to it. And I love the fact it's personalised.

I'm going to ask for wooden toys, toys with NO batteries, and hardback books (the touchy-feely ones)

Not on the high street have some really beautiful gifts and bits. I can't wait until all the Christmas stuff comes out. I've already started buying wrapping etc

I adore Christmas but I have a November baby so can't even think about Xmas before then.

I agree with clothes. Books and puzzles are a good investment too... They last. It's a cliché but they will really prefer the wrapping paper!!

This year James will be old enough to understand (and Bee will be almost 1) so I'm super excited and although I've got a few decorations for the tree and have started my food / drink / family gift lists, I won't be seriously doing anything until mid November

X

My LO will be same age. I've bought a load of 6-9 month clothes, a lovely bedtime story box set from m and s, a couple of toys, one this giraffe ball thing and a baby tablet toy that makes noises words etc. I know the grandparents have gone overboard so I need to slow down but going to bulk out her stocking also with baby finger foods. I'm really excited so much I've booked a train santa special near us that does a santa trip with her cousin's.

My Lo will be 6 months, I'm thinking of getting her a couple of toys and some nice sleepsuits and an outfit or two but mainly I know her grandparents will spoil her so I'm going to put some money into her acc and I'm going to concentrate on having a bright, sparkly Xmas tree and lots of decorations for her to look at and touch

Noah was 5-6ms over hoa 1st christmas.

We also bought one of those activity tables for him to learn to stand up against. Focus on toys u think might be ideal for spring time ehen they grt a bit more independance and have started crasling or cruising.
My mum bought him a walker too ready.

The red chad valley bus eith loads of buttons, alphabet and songs from argos was also a winner for him.
Vtech talking phone, things like that xx

My youngest will only be 4 months so he won't need much. We have bought a new playmat to use now which will probably be the bulk of his gifts, he will be far too young for it to mean anything anyway. We'll probably buy him some new clothes and books but that's about it really.

My eldest will be 1.5 so he has 4 That's Not My... (he's obsessed!), a plastic rocking horse type thing and probably a bean bag seat.

I love the idea of a sparkly Christmas tree!

My lo will be six months... And because she won't really be aware I've bought something she will definitely be aware of.... A huge bunny soft toy... The type you win at a fair and regret bringing home haha!!! It was half price so didn't mind the silly purchase!

Same here. Grandparents, aunts & uncles, other family...they'll all spoil him rotten. So I'm going to buy a nice Christmas bear he can keep. Something cute to wear on the day. And before Cday I'll take him to a local farm that has Santa and Reindeer.
