HI im desperatly looking for a doppler. I keep having problems with this pregnancy but feel i cant keep going back to the EPU to get scanned. Feel like im wasting ppls time.

I feel i could relax if i can hear my baby. I just didnt know where to ask and ebay dopplers keep going at mega prices :( Thank you all

Hiya
The expensive dopplers are really the only accurate ones I would say.
The ones you can buy in mothercare etc are really just for the novelty factor more than anything. I borrowed quite a decent one from my friend when I was pregnant with Brody and I could hardly ever find a heart beat.
If you are looking for reassurance then a doppler isn't really the way forward I think because it's not always easy to hear anything and it can make you worry even more. :?

hi i would recommend the angel sounds doppler, which you can buy new from ebay for about £30, i have recommeneded to alot of ppl and im sure there is others on this site that will recommend also. it works from 12 weeks and i heard my LO's HB 1 day before my scan which enabled me to relax and enjoy the visit to the hospital.

you can also record sound on them to transfer to your computer.

xxxxx

DONT BUY THE SUMMER PRENATAL LISTENER FROM MOTHERCARE OR ARGOS!!! It's rubbish...I can barely hear the heartbeat even now! It;s so sensitive that the band you velcro around you rubs as you breathe and thats all I can hear!

Thought it was just me that found this, I've tried several times to use mine and not been able to get any sounds from it at all and it's made me feel like I'm doing something wrong :(

I find it amazing that I can't really hear anything yet whenever you read about being 26 weeks pregnant it says that your partner might be able to hear the heartbeat by putting his ear against your belly yet that piece of trash can't!!!

I tried from about 20 weeks every few weeks and never had any joy, it ends up annoying the hell outta me and I give up and get in a strop lol

I bought that too and only really managed to hear the heartbeat loud was about 37 weeks!

I would recommend this one, it's a little pricey but absolutely fantastic. After 2 previous miscarriages it really helped put my mind at rest especially when bubs was having a quiet day.

I heard the heartbeat from around 12 weeks really strong, I even have it on camcorder for posterity.

I too bought the Angel SOunds from Ebay and loved it...it was so reassuring for me as Ruby was a very lazy baby and I didnt feel her moving much, so it was great to hear her heartbeat and her moving about. I pais around £30 for it xxx
