I'm soo tired during the day even though Sam doesn't wake often at night but, i find it really hard to nap during the day when he does.

I find i'm dashing around doing housework when he's sleeping because i can't get on with it when he's awake.

I feel like i'm running on nervous energy a lot of the time but i just can't nod off during the day when he does even though i know i probably should.

i never sleep in the day unless im really shattered but then i end up falling asleep on the sofa with thomas laid on me which isnt the best thing in the world but im like you i cant nap when there is things to be getting on with :)
xx

I don't very often nap either. When i get chance, i try but i just can't seem to switch off enough. We sometimes have a cuddle on the settee together but i never really sleep deep enough to make a difference.

LOL i tried this afternoon to have a nap but Sam was wriggling all over me, then the phone rang :wall: so I gave up!

Nah, sprog only sleeps on a night, never in the day unless I'm holding him :wall:

I suppose I've got it good in that he only wakes on a night for feeds, but I'm still knackered.

Only managed it twice since Kathryn was born! Too much to do and usually feel worse after a nap so it's not worth it! Makes me laugh when OH complains that he's tired :rotfl: I'd love to see him get up for at least an hour every night and still be up bright and fresh at 6am!

A few times when Alex was a newborn I did try and nap when he did, but usually my mam rang and woke me up :wall:
I definitely don't now though.

I never slept when my wee man had a nap as I preferred to catch up with the chores. I did on a few occasions but it was when I was totally exhausted. x

I never nap either, but saying that when the baby's asleep aidan (20 months) is awake and causing havok lol so i never get the chance

Charlie only cat naps through the day and when he does, like everyone else, there are a million other things to be done  Also would be scared in case I fell asleep and missed picking Jamie up from school.

I started napping with Isaac when he got older, 6months+ and I still do now, it works for us :) wish I'd done it when he was youunger as then I was very tired

  I nap loads with james!!

But then again I can sleep on a clothes line and never have enough sleep even if i get 12 hours!

Fortunately im lucky and james sleeps through and has done for a while.

I'd be buggered if he didnt!

No I don't bother as he sleeps for 40 minute bursts and it takes me that time to get off!

Galen has had long periods of being awake in the day on a regular basis. 6 hour stretches are not unheard of since he was 2 weeks old  I tend to get on and do things regardless when he is awake now. I get set up say in the sitting room, bring the ironing in and so on and he is content in his pram or basket with some music and a toy so I get on with stuff. He has time with me also, play mat, toys, going out and so on but I like he is content for 30 minutes to an hour sometimes just being left nice and quiet.

When he naps in the mid afternoon is when I nap with him now. Him in his basket, me on the sofa. I usually get an hour or so which is great.

im not feeling like I need to sleep in the day at the moment cos Logans only waking up once in the night for a feed. (I go to bed midnight, wake up at 6)

Find it hard to sleep in the day anyway, if I am going to try and nap I set the alarm on my phone so I dont miss picking up James :)

I could never get to sleep during the day and it used to get me so frustrated I give up trying! I used to go to bed at 8pm instead  Hubby was home from work then to take care of Ja.

Jacob has just started sleeping through so i'm getting around 7 hours a night now which is briliant :D I'd get more if I went to bed earlier though

I used to take naps in the early weeks/months when I felt the need to when my son was having his nap.

Now I'm pregnant with my 2nd, I have a little nap when my son's having his afternoon nap. 30/45 minutes nap in the afternoon makes me feel so much more energised.

The chores can wait!

Like Sherlock, I just got on with the chores around baby when he was awake. Still do.

i did yesterday for the first time , and guess who was still awake at 2 am this morning because of it
