Hi hon, nope you won't need to pay. At 20 week scan, once they have done all measuring and checking etc you can ask about gender. Will all depend on position of bubs as to whether they can see. They could with my fisrt pregnancy and told me I'd have a boy, which I did.
Do you think you are going to find out?
We haven't decided yet whether to find out this time (If we have a sticky this time) - OH wants to find out but I think I might like the surprise?
xx
I'm sure you dont pay if it's a standard NHS hospital appointment, i know with private 4D/3D scans to exclusively find out the sex you do..
i didn't pay when i went for my routine 20week scan, the sonographer asked me if i would like to know the sex and i said yes and she showed us on the monitor that baby was a she
Okai doke , and yes i wiould like to find out Gender but Oh dosent for some reason lol.. He doesnt want me to know if he dosent want to know because i will end up spitting it out and ruining the surprise for him, But i dnt want baby wearing all creams and yellows x
I know i can .. still want some pinks and some blues in their though anyway I best shut up me, Im just expecting the best! Anything could happen between now and May xx
i dont think any hospital will say 100% just incase! we found out with both of ours and having one of each, we want a surprise this time, just gives me something to keep me going though labour and will be nice to phone friends and family and telling them the surprise too xx
How about getting a pack of whote outfits ready, and then the week before ish getting a pink and blue pack of babygrows, keep them in the packet in your baby bag, and with the recipts and then return them or get OH to return the unused packet after birth
Lovely to have a surprise, we didn't know with my first and it was lovely, we found out with the other two and it did take the edge away on the day?
i didnt find out with my first and did with my second so this time we arent going to we want a surprise. I love buying all the pink clothes and things with my litle girl before she was born but we picked her name and put it on her nursery wall so everybody knew lol so when she was born the only thing we had to tell ppl was her weight they already knew everything else. I loved with my first being in the hospital knowing in a few hours after all that pain you are gunna finally know what you are having and then let everybody else know its much better then knowing what it is i think now i have done both.
I didnt find out with my 1st but for some reason i always had a funny feeling he was a boy so didnt feel surprised when he was born.
This time OH and I both would like to know as we are on a budget and would be good to be able to get everything in but at the same time im not too bothered if we dont find out. At our hospital it is strictly against their rules to tell the sex but i know a few people that have said it just really depends on who scans you so i am gonna think about it a bit longer before i decide if i really want to know, then again might not even have a choice lol xx
