Oh sweet Lord... been watching this for a while this afternoon...and TBH it's like a car crash - you don't want to look but you can't look away!!!

It's utterly unbelievable how idiotic and self absorbed these girls and their partners are.... and it makes me so angry to think that they are going to be in charge of a new born and are supposed to be role models for their child to look up to.

I have nothing against young parents - God knows they have a lot more of the energy you need to bring up a child than I do (being a geriatric of 37!) but you need a certain amount of maturity, and financial and emotional security to bring up a child too don't you - or have I been misinformed? Much as we'd all like to think it, baby needs more than love to grow up happy and healthy.

Maybe it's because I'm pregnant but that show really shocked me..... or maybe I'm turning into an old fuddy duddy like my Mother!!

Anyway, feel a lot better after that little outburst - must be the hormones

Yep we do. Ooooo I get so annoyed sometimes. Thers a girl on there called Farrah I think her name is, and she does my nut. I can't even express how much shes not ready for a child :(

I love programmes like this, they're so fascinating. I've seen this programme advertised but I never really got the chance to watch it. I have watched several documentaries on young mums though. They're very interesting to watch, especially because I have a 14 year old sister and the thought of her getting pregnant at 16 makes me rather queasy. I was on the contraceptive pill at 16 years old as I had my first boyfriend. Mums idea to put me on the pill obviously! Where as these girls on the documentaries say they didn't use any contraceptives or the condom 'broke'. It makes me very grateful of having the mother I have. I was on the pill for several years until I settled down with my OH. If it wasn't for my mum, I'd have a 4 year old now! I think education lacks when it comes to contraception and sex, but of course if it's a planned pregnancy at 16 years old, well.. Good luck to them! ;D xxx

i watch it, i know i shouldn't - but i love it!! i'm addicted!! xx

Ladies, that makes me feel so much better!!
I've seen that Farrah girl too and spolt brat doesn't even come close to describing her - that poor baby!

I know it's tabloid tv but I just can't seem to stop watching it at the moment and obsesing over it!!

Just think if I'd had a baby at 16 - it would be 22 now ...omg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Instead I have a 2 year old!

But I definitely would not turn the clock back... I've done all my travelling, partying, holidaying, extravagant shopping... had loads of me time, girls weekends, romantic getaways with hubby etc etc.... so my family is what it' s all about now. At 16, these girls haven't even started to live... I know I should feel sorry for them really but it just makes me angry!! :)

I also watch this programme I also watch Teem mom and to be fair 16 and pregnant showed the mature teens, the immature teens and the wise teens.

Farrah - she also annoys me but considering I think she's doing a good job.
Maci - she is an amazing mother I don't know how she copes with everything.
Amber - I don't know how she hasnt got her child taken off her.
Catelynn - she was wise putting her baby up for adoption she knew she wouldn't be able to emotionally and financially care for her child.

I don't agree with teen pregnancy but I have to give praise where praise is due and some of the teen mums on there are better than the 30+ year old mums around me are, I do agree though some need a dose of reality.

I agree that Maci is amazing, that little boy has an amazing mother. But Farrah, although good at looking after her baby, she doesnt get the responsability that comes with motherhood. She may be 16 and so still young and a teenager, but unlike Catelynn, she chose to keep her child so needs to realise she cant go out every weekend until 3am..grr it really annoyed me lol. I got a bit too highrate when I watched this lol.

I so agree, Farrah does still act like a child and even has little strops like a child, I feel a tad sorry for Sophia as Farrah has bigger tantrums than her mother lol.

Yep - sometimes that show just isn't good for the blood pressure - makes you want to reach into the tv and shake some of the silly teenagers!!

It does give you the feel good factor though - you feel good about yourself after watching it!!! :)
