Hi everyone :puke:

Has anyone else started looking at every nature strip, public garden and open drain in their home town as potential vomiting sites? Has anyone looked hopelessly around for somewhere to puke before letting rip in front of a street full of strangers  ? Is anyone else feeling tired, drained, achy, depressed and constantly, constantly sick :( ? Is anyone else trying to act normal at work because they haven't told their boss about the pregnancy yet? Is anyone gagging at the mere smell of traffic fumes, washing up liquid, dirty laundry, almost any kind of food, their OH when he hasn't had a shower (!!!)...

On the up side, I've got a first appointment with my midwife tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to that, and my boyfriend asked if I wanted him to come along without me having to drop any hints, which is nice. Not sure if I'm going to take him up on the offer but it's nice just that he offered.

I've been reading all your recent posts even though I haven't added any in the last few days. It feels good to be a part of this forum. You ladies cheer me up.

Hey there,

sorry you're feeling pants- it will get better, this is (apart from the last few gigantic weeks) the worst bit for most ladies. I'm still sleeping for 2 hrs in the middle of the day and then all night but still feel as energetic as a sponge so I can sympathise with the tiredness. I was feeling constantly sick in a motion sickness type way and had been since I found out but I had acupuncture on Monday and it has GONE! No kidding! It cost £40 and was worth every penny.

Glad you've got your midwife appointment, I've been too scared to book mine in but I had a scan today and things were looking good so I'm going to phone tomorrow- they don't see anyone until they're 12 weeks here anyway so it doesn't matter.

Take care

Aw I was exactly the same with vomiting, had to tell people well before I was ready at work because puking in my bin was a bit antisocial till they knew why  I was hospitalised for starvation as I just couldnt keep anything down :( Didnt help that all the medical professionals kept saying good this means you are having a healthy pregnancy-twas the last thing it felt like!! :wall:

It did get better for me, week 13 was like a light switch, but seemed like a lifetime of being ill until it came. Hope you get over it real soon

   Sorry you are feeling so poorly

I'm lucky enough not to have actually been sick yet but feel on the verge of it almost constantly! The smells are the worst I cannot stand the smell of our kitchen for some reason! That's before cooking too  Smells give me a headache which makes the sickness worse!

Good luck at your midwife appointment
