Has everyone or is everyone intending to have their partners go with them to the 1st scan? My husband isn't sure if he will get time off work. Probably feel like a div going on my own!

Pleased to report that all was well with my dating scan today! Was so surreal!
My due date was put forward by one day so it's now December 6th.
Thrilled that your scan went well too Each!

That's brill it went well! Can't believe we r heading for the 2nd trimester soon x

Mine did although there was alot of woman there without anyone. If u r comfortable going alone I wouldn't worry

Wondering if any of you ladies could help ease my mind. I have been freaking myself out today as I had an early scan nearly 1.5 weeks back (everything there, heartbeat, foetal pole etc) but I was measuring 1-2 weeks behind and I know I can't be that out. Did anyone have this and find they had caught up by 12 weeks? I'm really scared that I will go in 2 weeks time and it won't have caught up at all. You don't have to share if you don't want to I just can't stop the worry xxx

Hi SmithyBaby I was dated 12 days back, not too sure when I ovulate but normally quite regular so this would mean I ovulate about 3 days before period which I'm not sure if that can happen. I have my 12 week scan tomorrow so will let you know if baby is all on track then! I'm so nervous though as even though baby was all fine in last scan I just am dreading the thought of something being wrong

Hi SmithyBaby with my first I measured a week behind the whole way through. With this one I know my dates are exact as I tracked ovulation and had day 21 bloods but they have went with my lmp date as baby is measuring 12+3 with lmp being 12+5. I had early scans at 6+5 and 9+5 with dates being what I thought they were but then at 12 week scan today they pushed me forward 8 days. I wouldn't worry too much if heartbeat is there and all OK. Keeping my fingers crossed for u xx

Thank you Rach, I know I won't sleep tonight with worry its just my sickness has really decreased since I still feel absolutely knackered and nauseous but not as bad and just keep panicking my partner keeps telling me to relax and everything will be okay with Bubba but it's just the thought of looking at the screen and baby not moving it's really panicking me feel like Im being silly but am just so excited for this little one and just want everything to be okay

8 completely get that I found out at 12 week scan before I had mmc so I no how scary they can be. Once the heartbeat has been seen the chance of miscarriage reduces quite a lot. Try and focus on that and everything will be ok. When do u have a scan next x

Scan is in the morning tomorrow so not long to wait and saw the baby move and heart beat in the last scan and sonographer said now you don't have to worry for your next one but I'm a born worrier

How much blood do they take at the 12 week scan for the test I am petrified of needles and keep nearly throwing up every time I think of it getting myself in a bit of a panic. Feel like as soon as they come at me with the needle I'm going to throw up

They only take one tube of blood takes about 20 secs..

Got my OH coming with me so hoping he can calm me down whilst they do it. It's nothing to do with the pain of it just the thought. Know I'm getting myself all worked up and it will be over quick just worried about throwing up during it :S

Hmmm I hope it all goes well today. Maybe ask the MW if you can lie down? They always ask me first if I am okay with blood, luckily I am and it doesn't bother me at all so I watch what they are doing. It doesn't take long at all. You could also ask for a sick bowl if you think you might need it!

SmithyBaby I haven't had any experience of dates being charged by that much but I hope all is well. Maybe a random cycle where you ovulated later? Did you get a positive test result before/right on the day your period was due?

Hello all! Scan went well we have a beautiful healthy Bubba got to see the fingers and toes and a strong heartbeat. Date has moved to the 19th of December. Nuchal measurement was nice and low too. Didn't throw up at the blood test even though it took her a couple of prods to find the vein. Will upload a picture later. I am a beyond happy to see how big Bubba has grown since two weeks
