Does anyone else get racing heart with cyclizine for those who are on it? I think it’s my cyclizine causing it, is much worse after a dose. Debating whether to stop as it’s been really bad tonight and I think I’d rather have the sickness! Might consider trying to come off meds now. Xx

Hi millie i didn't but I was only taking one a day so maybe that's why. Hope the sickness is easing up for u so u can come off then soon x

Ah that's brilliant! When have you got your scan I have another one booked in two weeks. I've been in awe all day seeing him/her waving and moving their feet I'm speechless

Mine is on the 4th June so 13 days to go lol. I'm the same it's weird to see how much it was moving and not feel anything. What date is ur next scan? After the twelve week scan I'm going to book gender scan for 16 weeks x

Next scan is 5th of June it is very tempting to book a gender scan do you know how much they are roughly? And it is so weird knowing baby is moving when I don't even look pregnant

They are 59 here but that's for a 3d pic too in black and white x

Hi Millie, I was on another type of antisickness and it made my heart race and breathing funny so I stopped as was horrible

Ooh I may have to look into it is the gender quite accurate by then?

They say it’s never 100% accurate but it usually is accurate especially with a 4d scan . With my daughter the woman said that’s a baby girl and I said is that 100% and she said we can’t say 100% but in my opinion that is definitely a girl. I think they have to cover themselves. I did ask for it double checked at my 20 week scan then I had a 4d scan at 25 weeks too and they checked again .ive just booked mine for 23rdof June at a place near me that does it from 15 weeks! They had an offer on so I didn’t want to wait and pay more when I knew I’d be doing it anyway. Was only £12.50 deposit which isn’t too bad if anything happens which hopefully it won’t but am feeling a bit nervous in case I’ve jinxed it now! Might have to move it if my dating scan changes dates any further behind than early scan did ! xx

Good luck Millie I'm sure all will be okay I'm going to look into it just had a slight bit of brown discharge haven't had any for about 3 weeks now so having a slight panic but saw baby yesterday and everything looked fine and only got two weeks till my next scan so trying to relax

Have you had sex or anything? I had a bit of spotting that only last a few hours the other week and my friend said her doctor had said sometimes being on your feet ages or lifting more than normal can cause spotting because of pressure on cervix when it’s sensitive or something. I had Held my toddler for ages on my hip the day before and the spotting didn’t last long at all so might of been that, have you been on your feet a lot?. Brown blood is usually old blood they say was the scan internal or not? They press sooooo hard I bet even an external scan could put pressure on everything and cause some harmless spotting? Xx

Was an external scan as they thought I was 12 weeks and did lift heavy dog food after to the car and was walking more than normal. Didn't think about the scan possible causing it due to pressure. Not had sex recently as sickness so not been in the mood bless my other half. They were really happy with the scan yesterday and it was the tiniest amount but will keep my eye on it.

Evening,

I am really worried... I had v. severe cramps (came and went in waves, not consistently), plus dull ache in lower back two days ago & runny guts (sorry if TMI). I assumed it was probably something I had eaten, dull ache disappeared next morning but cramps came and went right through until this morning, although they did lessen in severity.

I booked a docs appt today because I wasn't sure whether it was related to pregnancy but I couldn't get out of work to attend it, so I had to cancel. I am getting the odd very very light cramp now, but other than that feel normal. I looked online if you can have a mc without bleeding and apparently you can, all 3 of my symptoms above are listed as symptoms of mc. I cannot get to EPU unless referred by GP so i'll have to try and make another docs appointment...

What should I do? As I am feeling better should I just put it down to a dodgy stomach bug? or go to docs to get referred to EPU to be sure?

Hi Firecracker, I'm sorry to hear you are having cramps!
I have been getting cramps for the last couple of evenings, they feel like period cramps and are quite dull..

If you are worried I would go to the doctors. It's always better to be safe than sorry and will

I had really bad tummy cramps once in my 1st pregnancy. I think it was just my digestive track adjusting to pregnancy. If you are worried about it get checked though, even if it's just for peace of mind.

I had awful stomach cramps a few weeks ago(before a scan where all was ok) I was in the bath and I had to learn forward doing deep breathes as it felt like early Labour they were that bad but they went after about 15 minutes and haven’t been back again so maybe stretching can sometimes really hurt or digestive system causing problems? Xx

Thank you all for the advice. It is reassuring to hear that others have had strong/severe cramping too at some point in current or previous pregnancies. I always knew you got light cramping, but had no idea it could get to severe!

I think combined with the other things it just worried me a bit, will see how I go tomorrow and see GP if I still have symptoms just for peace of mind!x

I know it's early days but has anyone thought about when you are going to take maternity leave? I don't like my job so am hoping to leave about a month and a half before due date. I won't be going back after as only on a temporary contract
