***December 2016 mums***

Thankyou ladies, baby was so active in the scan she found it hard to get clear pictures of it.
I am in team Blue it's a baby boy . Xx

Awwww fab news icklemoi, a beautiful little boy!
If my last couple of miscarriages had went ahead I would have been due to have baby on my birthday last September the one after would have been due next week but I just guess they weren't meant to be but I feel like the whole pregnancy process has been goin on for years, mentally I'm drained this will be my last as I just cannot go through any more losses.
Have started buying a couple of little bits and putting them aside and looking at baby names, especially ones my son can pronounce he can't say his R's or L's so at the minute were down to Aoife an Irish name pronounced E-FA which means beauty /radiance or Mea which is Italian and means mine.

Tonks try not to worry. Under 3.5 is normal. Mine was 1.7 so similar to your twins. But I'm 25 so that lowers my risk further. Xx

Tonks I wouldn't worry ano it's hard not too. The consultant yesterday wanted me to have an anmoi because my eldest son as a deletion of his chromosome. When a said no e wernt impressed :/ says scans can't pick all abdomalities like the test tomorrow think he was a bonkers one. My moods are up and down atm too knowing babies birthday is scary :) x

Congratulations ikklemoi on your baby boy! Exciting times!

Ah Tonks I wouldn't worry too much, I think last time my risk factor was around 1 in 400 but was still classed as low risk, I was 33 then and the nt was 1.something... now i'm 35 with the same nt and my risk factor this time was about 1 in 2000 I think! It's all very confusing but I'm sure they'll be fine and healthy :)

I had my 16w appointment today, fairly uneventful apart from my urine sample showed signs of infection so she's sent it off for testing at the lab. Got to chase it up on Monday. I rang the hospital yesterday to ask about the 20w scan and make sure it hadn't got lost in the post but apparently it hasn'tbeen booked yet as rotas aren't done for that week as yet. Shouldn't be too long now though. Now we've decided to find out the sex I'm really impatient! X

Ooo ikklemoi a boy! Congrats! It seems to have been all girls recently, is anyone else having a boy?

When I was pregnant first time everyone was having boys out of 12 girls I knew having babies only one had a girl and now so far all the ones having or had babies this year are girls funny how it goes

Yeah it's mad ain't it seems to go in little spouts of girls and boys don't no anyone else having a boy yet in Dec apart from me :)
Some beautiful stuff in morrisons for babies good prices too :) x

Hi All,
Bit of a random question but has anyone had to have a colposcopy whilst pregnant?

We don't have morrisons over here :-( I have tonnes of little boys clothing I suppose I should donate it now was convinced it be having a boy so kept it all

I'm getting so impatient now waiting for my 20w scan to find out the gender. Feels like time has stood still since about week 14! X

Slb24 that's amazing we don't know what we're having yet so holding off to much shopping until we do.
As this is our first we're getting all sorts of different advice as to what we should and shouldn't buy. Any tips? Xx

Honestly.. Write down everything you buy! I ended up with loads of one size and none of the other last time lol

Plan about 7-10 baby grows per size. If you have amazing family and friends like me you will end up with tons way too much if you go over that. I sold loads of stuff with tags on last time that baby didn't wear.

I would recommend the Mam bottles. I didn't like tommee tippee or avent. With the mam ones you don't need a steriliser either. They go in the microwave so it saves room in your kitchen. We've got a little tub with a lid and some sterilising tablets in case we give baby a dummy.

Maxi cosi car seats are one of the safest. But I would defo get an isofix with it.

Buy 1 million bibs and muslin squares.. You will need them lol

Medulla breast pumps are meant to be the best if you're breast feeding. But they're pricey. I had a tommee tippee one and it was rubbish. Electric is best. I hated the hand pump ones.

The perfect prep machines are meant to be amazing as they give out water at the right temp for baby to drink. A few friends have recommended those.

Don't buy too many small outfits. Baby grows are easier. And look out for the ones that go over babies head. They're impossible to get on. The next ones all have integrated scratch mits which are great :)

I personally wouldn't buy a cot/crib bumper. They're meant to be a suffocation risk.

Buy baby wipes whenever they are on offer. You will need them lol

IKEA kallax units are great for putting nappies, vests, baby wipes etc in and storing out of the way.

I can't think of anything else lol xx

Just bought some baby grows and vests for now, we have a lot of stuff from our son that was unisex that can still be used, but won't really be putting her in outfits until she is over 3 months.
We didn't have bumpers as such but had little rail pads called bumpsters very hard to get off but a lot safer.
And we still have Ryan's man bottles so will clean them and sterilise gem and buy new teats.
Can't guarantee once it comes to pay day though that I won't hit the shops I bought too much last time and he didn't get use out of them

P.s my nausea and vomiting is back in full swing barely managing a quarter of a meal feeling so ill every day the joys but knowing my wee woman is ok is all I need to get me through it

Aaww no! Can't believe it's back. I still feel sick every now and then but I'm not actually being sick. Girls are meant to be worse than boys :/ don't know how true that is?

I can't buy unisex stuff lol I won't use it. I did it last time before I found out what I was having and then when I found out I bought all pink so the white stuff never got worn lol
Xx

Anyone else picked a baby name yet?

We've picked Keira Elise <3 I'm in love with the name and can't wait to meet our baby girl now <3 xx

At the minute were between Aoife Rose/rosaleen (pronounced e-fa which means beauty and radian in Irish and rosaleen is my mum or Mea Rose, Mea was my best friend it's Italian and means mine
Other names I'd thought of were Eireann, or Roisín (pronounced rosh-een) but my son can't say the letter R so we've kinda ruled those out

I love your name SLB, my good friend is Ciara, same name slight variation on the spelling and love Elise
