Connie seems to sleep for 2 or 2 and a half hours at lunchtime every day. Is this too much??

How much do your LOs sleep during the day?

Hannah is 3 and can still sleep up to 3 hours at lunch time

Lucy has only recently dropped her post-lunch sleep of 2 - 2.5 hours. If she is sleeping that long and it isn't disturbing her night-time sleep then let her have it. Lucy was always a good sleeper and at Connie's age would often have a morning nap of 2ish hours and an afternoon one of another 2hours (minimum).

Thanks girls I don't feel so worried now. It's now been 3 hours 15 minutes. I went in to check on her and she went MMMMMmmmmm and then rolled over and went back to sleep. Seems she's like her mumeeeee :rotfl:

I wish Angel would have half an hour. She has a couple of 10-15min naps but that's it. And she's a terrible night sleeper!

Haha, sounds a lot like Lucy! I was forever peeking in on her thinking that she couldn't possibly still be sleeping but there she would be blissfully asleep!

After a while I finally gave in and started having a sleep myself - it made the nights that bit easier.

Oh and as an older baby we found she was just the same, loved her sleep and would even ask to go for a lie down! She was always a right grump if she didn't get her sleep!

Wow bex thats brill!!

Can she send a little sleep Phoebe's way please?

Can we pop round Bex so that she can have a whisper in Luke's ear so he might give it a go? ;)

:rotfl: I'll get her to post messages on Babybook to that effect!

Not trying to sound smug or anything (yeahright) but she does 11-12 hours at night as well and whinges if her bath is any later than 6.30pm... she loves her sleep!!

(Makes up for the endless nights on the Graveyard Colic Shift in the early days where she's scream and scream from 9pm to 3am ish)

That sounds about right hun.

Corey sleeps 12-14 hours a night (7pm til 7-9am, depending on what he fancys), and then aboout 3 hours during the day, really, in two naps. But if were out in the car alot, he will sleep more. Lazy git, takes after his Mummy!!

That's right, rub it in! Lol

Angel has had 10minutes all day today! Finally out now though! I'm up roughly 3 times in the night and even then she's pulling on my nose at 8am!

oh....that's my baby too hun......I get excited if she goes over half an hour (which is rare!! :wall: )

:cheer: Sounds like you're lucky bex....I'd love Violet to sleep that long, I constantly stress about the lack of sleep my baby gets. If connie sleeps well at night too don't worry about it.

Dylan hardly sleeps at all through the day. He cat knaps for about 10 mins after his bottle and playtime and is awake again. He sleeps through the night though. Has a bath about 7 and goes to bed at 8pm and has just one feed through night at about 5am then gets up between 8 and 9am.

Sounds like you\ve got the best of both worlds with Connie. Sleeps a good amount in the day and the night

Can we swap? Logan only power naps during the day and won't sleep more than 6-9 hours at night. Enjoy the peace!
I know all about he dummy thing too, why oh why did I give him one, made it to 12 weeks with no dummy too :wall: (though I did have booby to keep him quiet before then)

Goooo Flod!! Ella's the same and has been for a few months now, sleeps for about 11 hours, wakes up at 7:30am for milk with Daddy (Well, not anymore :( ) then back to sleep till 10am. She will then sleep for up to 3 hours after her lunch at 12:30 :D

One day he'll learn not to need it I promise. We had to keep getting up for the "dummy run" as we call it but now she will shove her entire fist in there as a substitute and drop straight back off. Have you tried getting him a taggy or something he can pick up and use instead? Flod loves hers, but she's always needed to grab hold of something to go to sleep - which is why she kept taking her dummy out and then wailing.

Nope! After re-reading that post, I decided to pull my finger out and ditch the dummy, atleast for sleeping times..!

Sooooooo, lastnight, in bed off to sleep without even a whimper - great! Up at about half 9, had to chain myself to the livingroom so as not to go in there and swipe him up and give him the dummy. I did cave and cuddle him a few times, but he soon fell back to sleep without it, I hurd him wake once, fuss, then next I know it was 6am and he wanted Milkys!!!! I cudnt believe it... so I got nearly 7 hours solid sleep :) And he woke up this morning happy as a clam, all giggles and smiles, so his little crying session clearly didnt affect him.

Put him down for his morning nap, fussed for about 9 mins I timed, then nothing, sparco!! So hopefully the time will get less and less and he will stop walking me!! :cheer:

He just cuddles his pooh bear blankie thing over his face and rolls on his side and sleeps now
