Dads having a baby

I had exactly the same thoughts!!They never actually said how long it took them to concieve the first baby though???? or what help they had???

My hubbie was also disappointed that we didnt see him in labour.. he I wondered if he screamed as much as woman do!!! (grrrrrrrrr!!- if we ever get a BFP I am really in trub with my hubbie, he thinks he will just go to work when i am in labour!!)

:( I don't understand how they can get pg with so much testosterone in his body! I'm a little confused as well but don't want to offend anyone. Oh well here goes- I didn't see the programme but i'm assuming it was a woman who wants to be a man? Who got pg. Now I'm not being funny but if she wants to be a man why get pg and why try for another? A man can't get pg so surely it makes no sense?! Why not adopt?

Helen, He was a woman who had been living as a man for many years but had never had surgery to remove female organs or construct male ones. He lived with his partner who also used to be a woman but had had surgery. Apperently he needed to stop taking testosterone to allow him to concieve and they used a sperm donor.

They also had 2 adpoted children. one of the dads had had a relationship with another woman (who had also had a gender change to be a man I think). The other woman had 2 children, but she died, leaving the children with out anyone so he adopted them.

I am impressed with myself for understanding that lot ha ha!! to be honest, I think they appeared to be good parents, trying to do there best for the kids they had. I have mixed emotions about whether they should have had there own child. Years ago children were bullied for being dual heritage or from single families and now that is fairly normal and then there are children living in allsorts of circumstances and those living with 2 parents who are prob less settled!

I was very intrigued and im sat watching it on catch up now, but 10mins into it im lost and thinking of turning it off! x x

Hope you managed to watch it through it was really intresting. The other thing I think they said he couldnt breast feed and didnt develop breasts! Maybe I got it wrong, but surely that is part of getting pregnant and the body prep for a baby?

they also said was that he had to stop taking testostorone before concieving and therefore his hair growth was reducing after just one month but surely after 9 months of not taking it and the added hormones he would have developed more female features, but he still had a beard when giving birth?

The other thing I was slightly mortified at was the bottles on the floor and the cat licking the teat??? Maybe I take it back about good parents, but hope it was to be sterilised after ha ha!!

Oh I dont know.. but they did say it would get us talking??? I think i watched this too seriously and need to get out in the sunshine instead ha ha!!

I did watch it to the end, i felt so sorry for the boys been kicked out of school. I see what you meant about the cat, eewwww x x
