I think if they work for a British company you still get it but if not I don't think you do.
I know someone who moved abroad & worked for a uk based firm so he still paid.
I think Lanny is right. I know someone that was planning on moving to New Zealand and the CSA said that they probably wouldn't be able to get anything off him as it's just too complicated to keep track of.
Depends on the country, some places now have reciprocal agreements. He is still supposed to maintain payments, and if he doesn't he'd be hit for it if he ever moves back to the UK.
Just an update, he did move out the country, and I've heard a lot of stories about him coming back or not coming back, but CSA told me last week he gave in his notice to his employer because he is moving out the country, yet when I was with him he told me he got the sack! He was a week late paying his first lot of money to me, and he has missed 2 payments so far. When I rang CSA they also told me they are having to close my account down but they will give me details on how to contact the people who deal with CSA abroad if that makes sense.
I have had a lot of crap from him and his family, so much that the Police have been involved. I just also want to say, anybody who is going through things with their ex-partner who they have had a baby with, please don't give up, the past year has been so hard for me but I have got through it and to be honest, my daughter has been a lot happier baby since he's fled the country! I hate the fact she's not going to have a father, but I know for a fact that I am going to be the best Mummy I can in the world to my daughter!
