Hi,
I've just started finding out what I'm entitled to and I found out that I can claim working tax credits while I'm on SMP. I'm really pleased as this will be a massive help but I'm going to be moving in with a family member for the first 9 months (until SMP runs out) as I'm not with the father and I'm completely not ready financially to live on my own with the baby. I will be paying them keep as I don't want to sponge off of them... will the working tax credits be affected by what they earn as well? Surely it should just be counted on what I receive?
Has anyone else been in this situation.. I think it's a bit similar to being a lodger at someone's property?
Thanks,
Berry x
