I've been doing a test in the mornings with some of those cheaper tests from http://www.accessdiagnostics.co.uk/, however, I've never waited the full 5 minutes to see if there is any change after I have seen the big fat negative line come up. I always thought that if it was going to be positive that it would come up - even if it was faint, at the same time, so I have binned them straight away. :(

Am I incorrect?

The reason I ask is that I just decided to do another this afternoon for the sake of it. I did my peeing into a cup and dipped the strip in, to see just what I expected... a big fat solid purple "negative" line.

However, when I got out of the shower, there was a very faint line below that one. I was in the shower no longer than 10 mins.

Did I wait too long to see if it is a faint positive or have I not waited long enough for the previous ones to display fully?

I'm off to buy a better brand for the weekend - Clearblue or First Response I guess.

Are these cheap tests any good or have I been wasting my money?

HELP! :wall:

Cheap ones are more sensitive than clearblue hun. I wouldn't waste my money on a clearblue one TBH good luck

LOL, Just been to Boots and bought First Response and one of their own tests. Will wait til the morning and do another. Fingers crossed!!!

OH is convinced now.

I have been using the same tests, my period is 2 days late and when I tested, a fainter than faint positive came up after about 5 mins. Not sure if I trust them though. Good luck!!

I've been using them a week and this is the first time (twice now) that I have seen a second line... so.. perhaps we are?

Fingers crossed for you too x

I got up at 5am this morning (I was bursting for a wee) and did one of the First Response tests. There is a very faint line there and me and OH are still kind of 50/50 as to whether or not it's positive. I'm going to take a pic and upload it so you can see what you think and give opinions!

as per my other post !

i caved in a peed on a stick :wall: but to my shock ive got a 2nd line  but i dont trust it :rotfl: so not getting excited yet , altho couldnt fall back asleep now

OK, so I have done a First Response test this morning and I have a faint pink line and then later did a Boots own test and have a faint vertical blue line. I also did the accessdiagnostics one that G3M has done and there was no line on that, however, I did another of their strips first thing with the FR test and there was a faint line.

I'm still not sure though... Not getting my hopes up stil.

What do you reckon?
