Cotswold fertility clinic ?.

I'm so sorry Lil. For sure saying not worth treating pcos doesn't sound right but I don't know anything about it really.

Is donor eggs something you are willing to pursue? If so then it's cheaper to go abroad, Serum in Athens has a great reputation, as do many others. I've done a lot of research on donor eggs over the past few weeks, very happy to share any info.

The 3% chance with either natural or ivf is standard at our age, I think the HFEA stats for over 44 are actually something like 1-3%.

Syd I would love to go down the donor route if I could get it cheaper but with 3 children and nobody to look after them I really am stuck as going abroad just wouldn't be possible for me. I have no family that can help and my friends all have kids of their own.
I will be asking my Dr for her opinion on the pcos thing and say I'm not happy with zero treatment while ttc, see what she says. Apart from that it's looking like it's nearing the end of the road for us, of course we will still not use protection but won't actively try, is it called ntnp or something. x

Just a quick update, I had my appointment, she scanned me and confirmed that I definitely have pcos, I can't help thinking that she fobbed me off though as she told me I don't need any treatment as my periods are regular, surely this isn't right ?. She said chances of natural pregnancy or ivf with my eggs are 3%. Donor eggs are the way to go as dna in the egg at my age doesn't repair itself like it does when you are younger. Donor egg ivf is 10 thousand , so I'm afraid this is the end of the road for us, I feel absolutely gutted x
I am sorry you are facing challenges, but I am sure you are a strong warrior and you will not to give up. I came across a few blogs (just an example - https://burkebarr.wordpress.com/2017/05/24/win-an-infertility-journey-overseas/) and really tons of posts of ladies who got pregnant via ivf with de at overseas clinics. I have no first hand experiences, but a friend of mine underwent ivf with pgs ngs at Polish clinic in Gdansk cos of pocket-friendly prices. Even plus flights and hotels it was just a fraction of what it would have cost her in the UK or the US clinics. You might also visit fertilityfriends, where you would find tons of info and reviews in the international threads. Good luck
