I'm actually really stressed out about what contraception to use after this baby is born, as before TTC this one I was on the mini pill for years which worked well, but then they discontinued my brand and I had over a year of hell trying to find a suitable replacement. I had constant bleeding and severe hormonal moodiness on the ones I tried. We weren't going to TTC until this summer but I got so fed up with it all in December last year that thought sod it and binned all my pills and got pregnant pretty much straight away!
I can't take combined contraception due to migraines so only the mini pill, , but since I've tried all the current ones and hated them all I think that's no longer an option. I don't think I can have the implant as it's combined hormones too. Been thinking about a coil but the horror stories put me off, plus we may want another DC (last one!) a couple of years after this one so bnot sure I want to mess with my cycle too much.
I'm thinking a combination of natural family planning and condoms might be the way to go given that we would like another DC and we are in a position that it wouldn't be a disaster if it happened earlier than we are planning. But I'm just a bit nervous that I might end up pregnant again rather more quickly after 6 months or something!
I'm thinking there won't be much time for sex with 2 kids anyway haha
