I have been spotting for 2 weeks. The first week I thought it was my period although it was extremely light so I don’t a test and it was positive. I stopped spotting for 2 days then started spotting again. I wasn’t worried at first but now after talking to few mums, they say that’s not normal, now I’m worried I am going to miscarry or have an ectopic pregnancy.

I don’t have any cramping, back pain or abdominal pain, only spotting. It’s the weekend so I won’t be able to speak to someone until tomorrow. I have the number for emergency early pregnancy team however I don’t think it’s an emergency as I don’t have any heavy bleeding, cramping or pain.

Has anyone had these symptoms and everything was fine or did something go wrong? I am 5weeks 6days

You need to to go to the EPU, any bleeding is cause for concern and in particular Ectopic pregnancy which means you will need urgent treatment as it can be life threatening if not dealt with quickly.

Hi, phone the epu, it’s better to get checked out. I’ve had bleeding/spotting in pregnancy and had both a good and a bad outcome. Better to know what is going on, but spotting can be completely normal, some ladies spot the whole way through.
Hope it’s good news for you. Good luck x
