Consultant led care?

Due to my recent cancer diagnosis and last baby being a chunky monkey i am under consultant care this time rather than mw led care. Sort of a pointless post but i just wondered what the difference would be this time round, apart from the obvious. Thank you ladies xxx

I'm under consultant led care too because of previous problems. I understand it to just mean i'll have extra check-up's with a consultant rather than a midwife.
Sorry that's probably not much help!

im under mainly consultant led care because of random stuff.

the mw said that it just means i will be seen mainly by a consultant, rather than her, even though i will still see her.
if that makes sense.

I am under consultant care and basically some of the times I should be seeing the midwife I see the consultant instead and I am getting an extra scan too. think you would obviously see more of the consultant if there was any problems. nothing to worry about tho hun!!

JUst like all the others have said you are cared for more and have more checks to make sure you and baby are fine, Lots of scans and checks x

Thank you ladies, im not worried about it really i just wondered how different it would be this time round. I would have thought maybe theyd want to monitor me after any follow up scans i have for the cancer?We will see i suppose xxx
