I'm absolutely mortified to be writing this but I don't think I've ever been in so much pain. I've been constipated since early pregnancy but it's getting so horrific now. I'm only going every 8 or so days. Tonight I was having awful cramps like I desperately needed but when I went to the toilet there was only little bits coming away. The rest was so impacted right at my bum and not moving, it felt like it was trying to come out my perineum!! I was sobbing, heaving, dizzy and just in so much pain. I even tried manually to get it out - I'm so sorry for the horrible tmi! I've had to come out the toilet and extremely painfully lie down in the hope it goes back in somehow. I'm gulping down fibogel as best as my HG will let me but it's clearly not helping. What can I do? If I manage not to die (sorry) before tomorrow I'll obviously go to the GP tomorrow but does anyone have anything I can do or try right now? I can barely move! I sound like the biggest diva ever  but honestly labour didn't hurt as much as this!!

Can you get to a 24 hour pharmacy? They might be able to give you something else. I'd get to the GP tomorrow if I were you, it's very common side affect of After having my first I had to go to the walk in out clinic at the hospital and have a manual extraction for the same reason. They gave me a few enough as to take home too. If you are really struggling call 111 and they may see you at out of hours the evening. Best of luck, I know how awful it is lovely xx

Thanks hoping. I've sent hubby to the pharmacy to get me an enema and suppositories. I'm absolutely beyond desperate, I'm having to lie on my front I'm in so much pain. If these don't work I may need to go to ooh somewhere. Some people are saying they're safe others are cautious (checking online) but I don't know what else to do. I don't know if I could stand the pain of getting manually removed! Xx

Oh no :(

Are you still really struggling to eat with your hg too ? Just wondering if you can help your diet as a preventative once this is over but im guessing it must be near impossible with sickness :(.

You are having such an awful time of it!! :(

Oh god you poor thing :(

I'm constipated (9w tomorrow) but nothing this bad. Movicol was quite good when I was bad before, might be worth a try.

Also a warm bath. Sit in there. It'll stop any pain in your bum, or at least help it. And don't worry if you poo in there obviously x

Maybe call 111 and explain and say you need to do something to relieve it now and would an enema be ok given you are pregnant? They may say you should go in. Going forward you need to take something daily to counteract the ondansetron if you aren't already. Not sure if they'll be keen on movicol but worth an ask. Hope you are ok xx

I totally get your pain! This was me yesterday. A sip of lactulose and this morning was glorious!

Mrs S i think u were here when I was last here?(I left because I wasn't having any luck) Congratulations to you!

I've been constipated which for me is a very new thing. On going stomach issues mean I'm usually more loose... tmi lol... So I've been in agony this week with it. Have u tried prune juice? It's not nice but it does the trick. Defo see professional tho because it's not good not being able to go

Oh hun I really feel for you.

I've never suffered before but did with my last pregnancy. I literally spent 45 minutes trying to go and totally ruined my poor bottom! I couldn't sit down the hemorrhoids were so bad. I swear, no word of a lie, it was easier and quicker (by 43minutes!!!) to push Eleanor out!!!

I took fybogel religiously but I know this might be hard for you with your hg.

Hope things improve for you hun.

Hi ladies,

Sorry I'm just updating. I ended up in genuinely the worst pain I've ever been in! My bum was the same Emily, torn and haemorrhoid city!! I ended up having an enema and suppository and eventually, painfully, managed to pass what was stuck (sorry  ). The doctor put me on laxido as I wasn't tolerating the fibogel at all with my sickness. I vomited a few of the laxido up but they were easier to swollow down as they weren't that thick way like the gel. I ended up going to the toilet again last night and it was heaven, not pain or straining at all. So I'm going to keep up the laxido as best I can!

Emily I can see 100% get that labour was quicker and less painful. If I can get through that then I'll get through labour again

Xx

And hello pinkz, lovely to see you and congratulations on your BFP :) xxx

U poor thing! I hope you start to feel better soon! It's amazing how much we take for granted just being able to go to the loo! I've struggled with being "loose" for about 4 years now... Had the slightest constipation and I'm crying for normality!
