Constant Headaches... 10 days running now :(

Just wondered if anybody else is suffering from headaches?

for the last 10 days they have been awful, to the point where i have had to have all of my curtains closed and all of the lights off in the house... my eyes feel so sensitive to anything bright.

I took the whole of last week off work, returned yesterday to be sent home because i couldnt deal with looking at the computer screen,

im back at work again today but still squinting at the screen and have had to get all of the blinds closed.

Anybody else getting them, if so, what do you find helps?

also, my BP is reading at around 147/80 which my midwife wants to monitor not sure if the 2 could be related?

It could well be your BP causing headaches, maybe speak to mw again even just to have it checked again. Computers give me a sore head too or make me feel sick, but did before getting pregnant as well.

As far as Iknow BP can be the cause of headaches. Try to rest a lot and not to worry. As midwife for an advice.

Hi Pringle, I am also due in nov and like you have been having dreadful headaches that last for a few days, but they don't sound as bad as yours. I thought I was maybe dehydrated (as going to the loo SO much) so have been trying to drink more water. I see the MW next week so will mention it to her but am told that if I keep getting them I will have to have my BP monitored.

Please go to your MW sooner rather than later. Headaches in pregnancy are common, but they can be related to hypertension (high blood pressure) or other conditions such as pre-eclampsia, which can have detrimental effects on you and your baby. They would much rather see you every day and send you away knowing all is well (as much as that is annoying to you) than miss something that could have been picked up earlier. Thanks a lot for your advice, I am seeing my midwife on Monday so will mention it to her but have booked myself in with the GP tomorrow just to be on the safe side. x

ive got really bad headaches at the moment that last days! but ive got low blood pressure. Constipation and dehydration can cause headaches, i wouldn't worry about blood pressure just yet chick x

I know its really awful, GP was a bit of a waste of time, hes basically said to sit in dark rooms and avoid computer/tv screens when they are bad....state the obvious.com!!

He is sending me for blood tests and regularly monitoring my BP but other than that nothing really got said.

I will mention it to my MW on tuesday if they dont settle.

Yeah ditto, they same to be there constantly everyday theyve just become normal now!! not so bad that i cant look at a screen so much more barable. I have the midwife tomorrow morning so will double check everythings ok with her. Thank you for asking x

Ive got my 16week check up (as i had cin3 cells and treatment on my cervix i may have a dropped cervix or something so they need to check on that.. )but ill bring it up with them too, still getting headaches but they arent knocking me out like they were.. lets hope its the end for us both!
