Hi I went for a private scan today I am 6weeks and 2days we couldn't detect a heartbeat I am very worried about this they are bringing me back next week for another scan which I will be 7weeks could this be to early for a heartbeat and also today I noticed some light pink discharge when wiping after toilet is this normal appreciate any help thanks

Not all heartbeats are picked up early on, sometimes baby is just in an awkward position and can’t be seen very well, did the sonographer say whether they seen a fetal pole etc or how far along they would date the pregnancy?

They confirmed today I was 6 weeks and 2 days and there was a fetal pole... I got scan done 4 days ago and was no fetal pole so I was glad to see that but the no heartbeat is very worrying

Might just be too early to tell. IF a feral pole has developed is take that as a positive.

Also, with it being private, was it internal? I wouldn’t expect to see anything externally yet.

With my first I was told I probably wouldn’t see a heart beat until 7 weeks. I know some have seen earlier but try not to worry too much. You’ve seen a fetal pole though so that’s good!
