So I have been to the fertility clinic and after so many years of fighting for a referral I have been diagnosed with Complex Hyperplasia.

They have discharged me from the fertility clinic and cannot do anything to help me get pregnant until this issue is addressed. It has been left very late and I have suffered with this for many years.

I am devastated that they put a coil in on Weds and I hate it. It was so painful having it put in and the horrendous cramps are so bad, I am feeling very sorry for myself and incredibly sad that it will be a minimum of a year before I can be referred back to the fertility clinic

Think I just needed to vent and try to see that there might be light at the end of the tunnel, I just worry that I will be 38 by that stage and worry its not going to happen

Oh I’m sorry to hear this :( what is the course of action now? How would this be treated? X

Hi Soarkle,

So sorry to hear of ur diagnosis although thank goodness u have got it diagnosed! 😊

I was also diagnosed with hyperplasia last year but I don’t know what complex hyperplasia is I’m afraid. I was just put on a course of progesterone but they then changed their minds and I was told that, as I would be taking progesterone anyway with the ivf, I could stop and just take it as usual with my cycles.

So frustrating for u.....38 is definitely not too late though and ur body’s chemical mix would be so out of whack with the hyperplasia that it would be cutting ur chances of getting a BFP so much...get rid of that and u may just find all the problems uve had getting pregnant disappear! I’ve got everything crossed for u xx
