Colposcopy tomorrow at hospital

Hi girls

I have to go and have one of these done tomorrow. They found a "polyp" just below my cervix (like a cyst) when they did an internal a few weeks ago to see why I had been bleeding.

I'm getting a bit anxious about it with me being pregnant

Anyone else had one of these done whilst pregnant?

I had a colposcopy a few years back but wasn't pregnant. I'm sure they wouldn't do it if they thought it would pose a serious risk. I hope everything goes ok.

I had colposcopy last year.... so I feel for you - wouldn't wish it on anyone!!

If you are unsure about having the procedure done while pregnant then discuss the options of waiting!

Won't hurt to ask.... fingers crossed for you!

Hiya

I'm back, well I went ahead and had it done.
One male doctor and another male student nurse and me with my legs in stirrups!!!

Anyway, I have this very large polyp (the doctor said its the biggest one he has ever seen!) growing just below my cervix.
I need to have it monitored every 3 weeks. He said that if I wasnt pregnant he would have me in theatre the next day to have it out!
Scarey stuff, but my main concern is the baby. I may need a planned c section if they cant remove it before. They want me to have a scan as well so they can see exactly as to wherabouts its growing from.

The copolscopy itself wasnt too bad, although it has left me bleeding since!
