Codeine in pregnancy

I've got a small prescription of codeine until the dentist can't sort my tooth out... I think I have an infection that has spread to my ear and jaw but no one will do anything until my dentist can see me I literally feel like I'd rather give birth 5x over than have this pain! I screamed less with my contractions!
Is the codeine okay to take? I just worry so much this baby is too precious...

Personally I would stick to paracetamol only but if that doesn't help maybe call midwife and double check ic codeine is safe? X

My mum said is safe as long as I don't take in prolonged periods or during third trimester... I still worry. It in in agony
Have taken a few doses and I feel so guilty but the pain is making me sick

I have codiene for my SPD my Midwife consultant and doctor all said it’s perfectly safe to take as long as you don’t take it in the last month of pregnancy I’m 30 weeks tomorrow and been on it last few months now and my baby is fine xx

I was prescribed codine during my last pregnancy and he is now a fit and healthy 2 year old. They wouldnt prescribe it if the benefits didn't outweigh any side effects.

Hope you get it sorted soon though. Sounds painful.

Drs prescribed me condie not long ago and they know im pregnant they said its safe. Cant take for longer than 3 days tho x
