Clomid worked first round but not second

Evening

So.. Clomid worked for the first round, 28 day cycle and confirmed with 21 day bloods. 2nd cycle and she never got a positive opk just partially positive and now way past CD28 and BFN.

Have an appointment at the clinic this week and I'm trying to find out if there's anything we should be asking for? I don't want to go and come back wishing we had asked for something as we didn't know about it.

Feel like giving the whole TTC thing a rest for a while to be honest!

Not yet, we have to go back. She did a pregnancy test and got BFN.

Would be nice to think no period meant she was pregnant but I doubt it, the 21 day bloods were a little low actually but set off the OPKs and resulted in a 28 day cycle when normally they could be months apart.

I didn't get a positive opk on all my clomid cycles but temping confirmed I did ovulate and I just missed the surge with my tests. What were her blood results?

I would recommend trying temping to confirm that the clomid is working, I liked the satisfaction of knowing there was a chance that cycle.

Also don't stress too much about having a 28 day cycle on clomid, mine were between 31-37 days but the clomid did make me ovulate each time. I was surprised about the difference as I thought if it worked it would give me the same cycle length each time, but it clearly doesn't work like that.

Thanks for that don't remember the exact result but 21 rings a bell.

We're back at the fertility place tomorrow after she told them about not having a period and still getting BFN's

Hmm 21 is a little low but sounds likely to me that she may well have ovulated later on than day 14, and therefore both the day 21 result will be lower as it will have been done too soon and her period will be later due to the later ovulation. Is she getting follicle tracking scans at all with any of her cycles?

On the cycle the bloods were 21 she had a 28 day cycle, not sure about folicle tracking but been back there today for a scan and a blood test for pregnancy. Get the results tomorrow but she suspects it will be negative.

She has tablets to bring on another cycle and is on 100mg clomid now, next month is the 3 month review to decide if she stays in it or has to go back to the doctors for injections. Seems odd we are being passed back go the doctors!
