Chicken Pox!

heyy everyonee,

looking for some advice .. my best friend has just got chicken pox & im not sure if there is anything i need to do? i havehad them before but i have spent alot of time with her over last weekend ....

anyone any ideas? xx

Hey chick, my mw told me that if I came into any contact with anyone that had chickenpox then I had to contact her straight away to get tests. I know that in late pregnancy it can cause you to go into early labour coz that happened to my friend. Best just to phone your mw and ask though xx

oh really? i havent really been told anything about them so thought this was the best place to ask!

thank you will give her a call just now! i always feel like im being a pest if i phone up & ask a silly question! xx

How did you get on with phoning mw? I'm the same but that's what they are there for hun xX

I think that aslong as you've had it before (and built up an immunity to it) you'll be ok but always best to double check!

But our LOs have no immunity or antibodies in their systems and that's where it could potentially cause an issue.

i called & they have told me that they are going to test my blood for antibodies and if it isnt high enough then i will have to go in to get a vaccine to help protect me and the baby .. but if i have enough antibodies then i should be alright! they are going to give me a call either tomorrow or friday and tell me if i have to go in and get checked ect!
