chicken pox in pregnancy??

am i and baby at risk of anything f i catch them now?
one of my minded children which I have a lot has come up in chicken pox 2day I am 35 weeks pregnant and I have never had chicken pox before my 2 little ones and hubby has but I havent

I was exposed to chicken pox when I was pregnant. I went to the GPs and got my blood tested for immunity. Thankfully I'd had it when I was young and I was proven to be immune.

However, if you get it in the last few weeks of preg, I think there is a risk your baby could be infected. There is a treatment, you can be injected with synthetic antibodies. But first, I'd go the the doctors and get yourself tested. If it was me and I hadn't had it whilst young, I'd also ask for the antibodies straight away I think.

Many people that think they have never had it actually had it as a child but so mild they didn't know.

My mom always says she never had it but she looked after 3 children with it and so I think she had maybe 1-2 spots as a kid and no one noticed.

Get to your GP and have the blood test

early on in my pg they done blood tests and one of them was to check my rubella immunity, have a look through your notes bc it's possible they tested you early on

i also know that it's worse if you catch chicken pox in the 1st tri..

well went to my mw today she took blood and will get bk to me in a few days i am emuned lol
