changes youv'e seen in oh or think you will see

just wondering how everyones oh's have changed since youv'e been pregnant or how you think they will change when baby is here.

my oh at 1st was trying to make out he wasn't too fussed about baby etc but now more and more he is saying little things or doing little things to show that he can't wait. he says night night babies (always calls me baby) and keeps telling his friends how stoked and exited he is.


i think to be honest when baby is here he will be very hands on. to the point where i may have to fight for a cuddle with bubs. he has also come home tonight talking about selling his beloved mazda mx5 which i told him to keep even though only a 2 seater as it is his project car. he says he is thinking of getting a new project car that we can go out in as a family. lol.

how things change eh. he is finally maturing, xxxx

Isn't that lovely! That must be so reassuring to see that change in him. The last thing any pregnant woman wants to do is have to worry about if her man is gonna be a complete tool or muck in and show he cares. Seems like you've got a good one there!!

I honestly can't praise mine enough. I moan about him occasionally like he doesn't load the dishwasher properly or leaves his boxers in the bathroom at times but that's me being a woman and finding fault!

This is our second baby and he was only 20 when I got pregnant the first time and from the second I took the test he was beaming like the proud Dad he is today! He's the best father I could have ever hoped to have for my children and I'm truly blessed to have him.

I have SPD so when at home I'm literally on my arse or back on the settee or bed. We have 3 flights of stairs in our house and dealing with them is a task in itself so he does so much for me. He works a 40 hour week, college on Saturdays and some Sundays yet comes in and makes dinner if I cant manage it, gets me drinks, ice lollies or goes out for whatever I'm craving. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!! On top of that tells me how beautiful he thinks I am and how proud he is of me for giving him another child.

So many of my friends put up with shit from their men, especially when they've been pregnant cos their men think they can take advantage of the situation and I look at what we have as a family and know I'm treated like a queen and I'm so grateful!

I didn't mean for this to turn into a fat essay but I could go on forever about how much I appreciate what I have in him!

Mine seemed unphased in the beginning but we conceived the same month his mum died, we'd thought it would take longer....... It wasn't til after the beginning of this year when I put my foot down about being dragged to things like normal, that he started seeing it a bit different. And then when the bump was obvious, and then when he could feel her in there, he started talking about the baby more. He's now so excited it's unreal

I really wish I could say the same things as you ladies...I just hope he changes when baby arrives. He is loving and kind but there are things that havent changed. I'm so sad now

im sure he will be fine hun. it is different or them all as doesnt sink in with them until baby arrives.

my sisters oh was and pretty much is still useless. to the point where she gave birth at 8.38 in the morning it got to 5pm we were all at the hospital visiting and he buggered off to football practice. xxx

I hope you dont mind me jumping in. I think my couldnt really take in at first and tbh we had so many visits to the EPU that it did seem a bit unreal until we hit tri1. But he has started reading books about pregnancy and babies, looks at prams. He has been great in tri1 as well when I was really sick and useless.
He has very stressful job and we were just starting to rennovate the house, it was him doing everything including all the housework.

Sometimes I think its a miracle he got through the whole thing.
He used to call me all the time anyway but he does even more now,asks about the baby and so on.

Hopefully this doesnt stop when the baby arrives

My OH hasn't changed too much because he's always been fantastic. He's very protective of me (as well as the rest of his family) and has been super protective since we conceived. At first he kept saying he didn't want to get too excited because anything could happen which I completley understood. Then when my nausea kicked in and lasted up until 16 weeks he was brilliant! He did absolutley everything, cooking, washing, housework etc as well as working full time. He still does all of that now if I ask him or if he can see i'm having a bad day.

Now we're in the final run to our Son being born he's super excited! He loves feeling him beating me up and laughs when it takes my breath away! I can already see the pride in his face!

We the baby is born he's going to be the proudest man in the world, he's never been around newborns and is very nervous about the 1st few weeks but because of my childcare background he's confident that once I show him how to do nappies/bath time etc he'll be able to do it himself! I actually think he'll do everything bar breast feeding and i'm gonna have to fight him for cuddles lol.

I could gush on about my OH all day but you'd all need a sick bucket! lol x
