Cerazette

Is anyone on this pill? I had to go to family planning clinic last night to sort contraception out.i had the intention of trying the implant and was talked into going onto cerazette for 3 ,months as she told me its exactly the same as implant but tablet form to see how it suited me before they put the implant in. Good bad recommendations of cerazette and the implant please xx

Sorry cant help with info about implant as don't have any experience of it, but I have taken Cerezette for the past 5 years and find it really good. I don't get any side effects and don't have any period at all with it,which for me is great as my IBS was always terrible when I had my period. As a contraception it's always been very reliable for me, but you do need to take it at roughly the same time every day. I was a bit worried about ttc after being on it so long as I had read stories about people having real problems. This wasn't the case for me though. I stopped taking it, had AF 5 weeks later and conceived the next month(our first month trying). My friend also takes it and has had no Problems with it. Hope this helps.

unfortunately it just didnt agree with me they gave it me for the same reason, rather than just going straight to the implant, i gave it 3 months, but bled on and off the whole way through and gave up.
worth a try though!

I have no experience with the pill, I am terrible at remembering to take them!! They will be reluctant to prescribe me any hormon based contraception due to my medical history x

I had it whilst waiting for the implant and both didn't agree with me at all! Almost constant bleeding and it didn't help my depression at all! But I do know people it worked amazingly for!

i have to say its hugely different to the implant.
i was on cerazette and had no issues for 3years. i had the implant put in 6weeks ago...I've been heavily bleeding for 4weeks. I'm moody, hungry constantly and covered in spots worse decision i could have made.
nothing like the pill in my opinion

I was on it for a couple of months a few years ago, didn't last long as gave me bad mood swings, It turned me absolutely insane... I feel really sorry for my boyfriend at the time who put up with me going from crying and yelling at him to happy and laughing in just a couple of hours and back again...needless to say i didn't take it for too long! xx

Iv never had the pill cerazette. Was microgynen I was given. But I did have the implant in for 8 moves, then I had to get it removed. I had terrible mood swings, it was awful time of my life. I was really down, had a huge appitite, gained so much weight, which made me feel even more down, I had headaches and bad skin.
I had no problems on the pill, and iv had the injection. I'v now got the mirena coil, so will see how that goes xxx
