Help!

I've been taking Cerazzette, but for the last 2.5 weeks I have been on a constant, heavy AF. It says to expect some breakthrough bleeding, but this is not at all like that! Has this happened to anyone else?

I took it for a month or 2 before we TTC this time and I hated it. I had a long and heavy 'period' and then missed one and felt like crap. :(

Might ring my doctor today then. Ugh! Pills have never really agreed with me, and was hoping this one would work.

i've heard a lot about that happening too! hope you can find a pill that suits you!

This was another reason why I stopped the pill. I bleed for 3 months, couldn't stop crying and had days where I could have been up on a murder charge. :)

I was on Cerazette a few years ago...and seriously nearly stabbed someone  which then in turn made me burst into tears for about 3 days... It was incredibly mental.

I've pretty much tried every kind of Pill going and they do not agree with me. I think the last one I took was microgynon 30 or something and it produced headaches. Next one (can't remember, I'll look them up) caused migraines so stopped taking them altogether.

Don't put up with evil side-effects of a Pill - there are some new ones out that are supposed to be really good, but I've never got on with them. I know why, of course, as of only a year ago but that was pretty "helpful" after over 14 years of chopping and changing and trying to find something that worked. Depoprovera was "interesting"

I really hope you find something soon. 14 days' bleeding isn't right!:oooo:

I know, I hate being on the pill but I can't afford to have 'woman issues' when on training and I'm not keen on things like the injection. Cerazette actually hasn't had any other ill effects on me like spots, weight gain or mood swings which is a shame that it's not really working for me.

I need a 'low dose' pill due to family history so I'm a bit limited on what I can take.

Have a docs appointment on Monday now

I think microgynon is actually quite a strong pill? I was taken off it when I moved up here. Just seems so wrong for our bodies putting fake hormones in. All the side effects are not good!

Tonks, this sounds familiar...

I haven't had children (as I've said) but I am on the mirena coil - the breakthrough bleeding was so minimal (hurt like a bu.gr getting it put in though - but been told that was just me) and it took about 4 months to stop periods altogether. Those that I DID have were so minimal it was silly.

Had it for over 2 years now and can honestly say that as a contraceptive, and I've tried pretty much everything bar implants, it is the business!

It's horrible and my doctor was a git...utter total GIT. I've had no luck with them (doctors) for a while...they just don't listen to the family history bit...

That's me without added hormones  I better not get them :oooo:

Had to cancel and re-book my appointment for next week and I am still bleeding. So that's 3.5 weeks now  I haven't stopped taking the pills yet, as I don't know if it would have any adverse effect, wanted to speak to my doctor first!

 that really IS a long time. The only time I had something similar was after being on Depo for 2 years and then coming off it - 9 months of nothing  Whatever the doc gave me to "kick start things" again worked a bit TOO effectively and let's just say, I had more "on" days than "off" for about 2 years after that...horrendous. Hormone overload, really...another reason I hate the Pill/hormonal contraceptives...

If you're still "on" after nearly 4 weeks, something isn't working right...hope you get it sorted soon, Tonks
