Just being curious really - babies or otherwise, where do you get your celebration cakes from? Birthdays, anniversaries, christenings.. etc :D You can only pick 2 options maximum...

I just ordered Ryan's to be custom made at a cake making shop :cheer:

I would either try and bake it myself or depending on how I wanted it decorated I'd get it from a specialised cake shop.

supermarket

I did check out Asda to be fair, but they only had a barbie one or a "cars" one, and that would just mess up my theme entirely :(

I wouldn't usually be a snob.. lol :D x

I either make them myself, or for Arianna as she is more special than anyone else I get it from a professional cake maker :)

Stanley had a Teletubbies one from a specialist cake shop for his 1st but someone else paid

I have always got mine from a cake shop but I fancy having a go at decorating his first birthday cake by myself. xxx

is it gonna be what i think it is? :D

HEHEHEHe im dead giddy about this party Shell....tickets came today :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

I made his 1st birthday one myself and hope to make all birthdays myself but his christening one will be specially made by a pro.........i.e not me lol

I put other as I go to Marks and Spencer - they're gorgeous there :)

:D I would make it myself but then I have just befriended a man in the cake shop near where I work so I might go talk to him if I need something really special even though he admitted yesterday he hates making cakes even though its his job LOL!

I voted make myself and buy from a supermarket although maybe I should have put other as I'd get them from m & s rather than supermarket?.

It usually depends how much time I have before the birthday/occasion as I work full time. For my husbands 30th birthday I made him a bass guitar & amp chocolate cake but usually would get them from m & s, I really hope once I'm a Mum that I have more time to make cakes but as I'm likely to have to go back to work full time that's probably not gonna happen.

I made Brody's 1st birthday cake myself but would have probably had one made if we weren't skint at the time

i put cake making shop - all the childrens cakes have been made by the same lady

i'll try and get some pics of them

edit to show a pic

We get ours from a local cake shop - http://www.celebrationstations.co.uk/ - they are absolutely fantastic. We don't use them for every birthday but they are soo worth splashing out on for a special birthday. Here are a few they've made for us...

My 21st (I'd just come back from working in Canada and had a thing for mountie uniforms  )
