Hiya girls. I am here after 4 miscarriages and very very nervously looking at the first trimester thread. Got a good BFP line this morning at dead on 4 weeks. The pregnant after loss thread is super quiet so thought i’d jump on here to see if anyone has any positive experiences they can share? Ways to stay calm? Sending you all lots of baby dust xxxxxxx

Hi congratulations on your BFP!! I'm 5 weeks currently after really struggling ttc, sometimes not ovulating etc.

I have a 4 year old daughter born perfect after a 9 week MC. I don't think there's a real way to stay calm after a loss, I'm trying to be super chill this time and its not realllly working lol. We have a July thread you're more than welcome to join to rant vent chat etc. Hoping you've got a sticky bean in there xxxx

Congratulations qwerty i really hope it's a sticky bean. Currently 11+6 after one mc and the best piece of advice i got was to go with it and accept you will be worried and stressed rather than fight against it. This helped me quite a bit. Can't say it is an easy time and the shine is taken off compared to the innocent 1st time but hopefully this one is the one xx

Hi massive congratulations qwerty! Sending lots of baby dust for your rainbow. Im cutrently 16 weeks pregnant after a chemical in Feb and miscarriage in June. I've definitely been more worried this pregnancy after the losses but what will be will be and thankfully all looking well. I had a private early scan at 7 weeks for reassuance and my early pregnancy unit have been fab checking me out when I've been worrying about cramps etc. Those first 12 weeks definitely seem to drag but try your best to relax and enjoy it xx

Thanks girls, I appreciate the kind words. I am like a neurotic woman going to the toilet every 10 mins being paranoid I’ll be bleeding or something. Anyway I’m going to try my best to relax. I can get an early scan at my EPU at around 7 weeks but being only 4+1 I still have a bit of a wait. Massive amounts of baby dust all round xxxxx

Happy to see you over here qwerty :D xx

hI QWERTY, did you have the miscarriages looked into at all? any genetic testing done etc?

i had my daughter in 2008, early miscarriages in 2012 and 2013, then a surprise baby in 2016 and now i am pregnant again! They put the miscarriages down to 'just bad luck' . But 4, i really feel for you, i'm not surprised you are feeling very cautious and I hope you are well looked after and this one is a sticky one! x

Hiya, yes they found nothing wrong and like you put it down to bad luck, the only thing they wouldn't do was the karyotyping bloods as they said the chance was so small of anything coming up on that. Being told it’s bad luck doesn’t really help though. Just going to take it a day at a time. Sorry to hear about your losses but glad you’ve got your babies and one on the way xxx

Congratulations!!!

The best advice I can give is to take folate/methylfolate instead of folic acid (everyone should actually!) and look into maca and vitex for the first trimester, which are both used to prevent miscarriage.

Happy healthy 9 months to you!

Hi Cinnamon....nervous wreck tbh. Absolutely convinced that having had so many losses that I am destined for another. Aside from slightly sore boobs (which I’m sure has subsided a bit!) I haven’t any other pregnancy symptoms. How you doing? xxxxx

Please try not to be stressed..

How many weeeks are you know x

I have had multiple Mis@&)&£ to. The hospital Did a test which was negative for a medical condition that causes miscarriage... .. I was told it was unknown why it happened to me..

I have been taken it easy, I have no symptoms except for the abdominal cramps.. my boobs are tender one minute and not the next. I am 8/9 weeks... oh and I feel tired :nap: xxx

Welcome qwerty. You're definitely not alone in the multiple miscarriages. I personally only had one a year ago and after 18 months of trying with no success to show they did tests. We were told we had a 1 in 100 chance of conceiving naturally/unaided but some how we've done it and are at 14 weeks now. I spent the first 12 weeks worrying despite having a private scan at 7 weeks and seeing a heartbeat. Deep breaths my dear and talking to others help.. Keeping every thing crossed for you xxx

congratulations.

I'm also very nervous. with my first pregnancy I had a missed miscarriage, found out when I went for my first scan. I fell pregnant again a few months later and had my bot 4 years ago. I'm now pregnant again, 5 weeks today and I'm so nervous. ive got no symptons other than a missed period and three tests saying positive.
I'm trying to stay positive, that's all we can do.
lots of baby dust to us all

poor you- I cant imagine anything worse than finding out at your first scan, having no idea there was anything amiss. In my first pregnancy I never imagined anything could go wrong! I have since had two early miscarriages- one a mmc, but i found out very early . And then went on to have a baby boy and now pregnant again. In my experience no symptoms is a good thing, cramps and bleeding is a bad thing!

ive been having cramps since I was due my period. there not painful though so I hoping its just my body getting ready

Don't worry about the cramps -- think we've all worried about the cramps lol. But they're okay as long as they aren't excruciating or bleeding with xx
