Can you always tell when...

babys engaging? last tuesday at my midwife app he was still 'free'. i know he's head down and its quite painful to walk and stuff but will i be able to tell when he is engaging or engaged? i know people describe it as feeling babys head between their legs but i don't feel that

I was quite surprised at week 36 appointment when midwife told me baby was engaged because I didn't feel any difference really

it is really hard to tell - one morning at the hospital I was told he was fully, not engaged (free) and 2/5 engaged by three different people (all very senior) it is like fundal height - a guesstimate to rule out major problems......

ok thanx, well i have my 37 week app on tuesday so i'll jus have to wait and see
