Oh suggested Joey for baby - but i really liked it for a girl and not a boy?

Do you think thats acceptable or not really? lol

Maybe i could spell it diffrent?x

Help :D

The world is so versatile these days hun I think all names are pretty much unisex, I've always wondered if I'd be judged for naming our future son Chelsea lol, just keep thinking it doesnt sound like a boys name... so it's whatever you and your OH like hun xx

I'm not a fan of it for a girl tbh but wasn't a female character in Dawson's Creek called Joey? If you like it though then it's your choice. We like Rory for a girl and lots of people think that's weird!

Yeah as Helen said, Katie Holmes was Joey Potter in Dawson's Creek. Think her actual name may have been something else but she got called Joey.

Joey is great for a girl or a boy, its traditional, cute and funky. x

I love girls names that are actually boys names and think joey is really sweet!

Think her actual name may have been something else but she got called Joey.

Wasn't it Josephine?

Gosh that's a name i haven't heard in a very very long time.

As for Joey, no i don't like it to be honest, for a boy and especially not a girl.

I can't believe i'm saying this because i hate people putting one name on the birth certificate when they intend on using a nickname to refer to the baby, but i think this one one of those rare exception where it might be best?

Call the baby Joanne or Josephine and then just call it Joey. Chances are they won't like that nickname so at least they can revert to their actual christian name.

I don't like the whole called one name and a different one on the certificate, my sister has done it, it annoys me lol (and has no intention of ever calling the kid by that name either btw) x

Ah it makes sense that joey'd be her nickname! Lol! I never watched it but remember other people talking about it!

Thanks ladies :)
I mentioned it to OH and he said "Oh i wasn't really serious about Joey anyway"

I'm not to keen on having a different name on the birth certificate either x

I think I might be too fussy :( x

i love name Joey for a girl....it's cool
