I'm laid up currently with a bad back and so have time on my hands... Not good when your in the dreaded TWW.

So, I've just spent the last hour reading all manner of stories and the odd study that suggests there may be a change in resting heart rate between the beginning of your cycle and post ov/conception.

Apparently, your resting heart rate can rise after ov and during early conception. Acupuncturist can detect pregnancy by a feel of the pulse the majority of the time!

So there theory is that you take your resting heart rate at the same time each day. Preferably upon waking. After ov your heart rate should become elevated and increase/remain elevated if conception occurs.

Anyway, as I have nothing better to obsess over (poas addict, right here!) I figured I'd do a little experiment and try this out! I normally wear my gear fit2 religiously, but what do you know, I haven't had it on in the last few days! Haha. However, previous data has shown that my resting heart at round 5am is roughly 55bpm. So, I shall slap on the monitor tonight and see what tomorrow reading is!

If anyone else what's to join in, be my guest. I'll start a little thread type thingy.

But be mindful, this is only for curiosity/fun. I have no medical background and have only go on the limited info I have read.

Much love and baby dust to you all xxx

Me:
Resting HR:55bpm
5dpo: 57bpm
6dpo: 57bpm
7dpo:TBC

I’m very curious about this each time I’ve been pregnant (sadly all ended in MC) it’s raised up a few beats per day about a week before BFP according to my fit bit

Oh sorry about your losses Lucy :( But interesting that there might be some truth in this theory!

There definitely might be some truth in this, each time I’ve got a bfp (2 ending in MC) my heartbeat had felt a bit ‘racy’ the days before, just as if it was beating faster - I didn’t measure it or anything so my input into this is very unscientific lol, but i definitely did notice something different x

Hey! I’d be intrigued to see if this is true, I ovulated last Saturday evening and since then it has been 1-2bpm higher but I have only had my Fitbit for 2 weeks so unsure over all what it has been previous months it has been between 57-59 after iv xx

Ive had a good luck through my gear fit data and my heart rate at 4.40am on average is 55bpm. This morning it was 57bpm, interesting, not conclusive but still fun to do :)

Holsf - I just took the recorded data from a week before ov. It was fairly consistent at 4.40am and as I keep waking around that time I thought I record then.

It'll be interesting to see what happens!

Mine gives me a daily average of what mine is on a daily basis, before ovulation it was 55 after it’s been between 57-59 time will tell, I might try and test Tuesday or Wednesday I’m 7dpo today. Iv had a few symptoms but I did last month and then was a BFN which left me completely confused. I’m trying for number 3 to I have 2 boys already xx

We’re almost at the same point in the cycle, I have quite short cycles and not exact they range anywhere from 23-27 days average is about 25 days xx

This had me curious

But unfortunately my fit bit doesnt back up ovulating!

I came off the coil on 18th July so changes since then are
19th - 20th July - 62bpm
21st July - 5th aug - 65bpm
6th aug - 64bpm
7th aug - 9th aug - 65bpm
10th aug - 13th aug - 64bpm
14th aug - 63bpm
15th Aug - 17th aug - 61bpm
18th - today 61bpm

I had positive ovulation tests on 31st July and 14th 15th and 16th Aug...
