Hi,
I'm looking for a decent baby book, not so much instructions on routines etc as I think those books set you up for a fall, but something that covers developmental stages and health issues etc, things that us new parents may not know much about!

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

i got given one from my HV / MW (i can't remmeber which now), which covers a lot of issues up to the age of 5.

What To Expect the First Year is quite good I've found :)

I'm with Elaine on this one...What to Expect The First Year is very good. Very informative and lots of advice from different angles so not just telling you what to do! Has a handy section on baby first aid and CPR as well, which EVERY parent should have, just in case x

Jo Frosts Confident Baby Care is good. development up to a year.

Thanks, I will venture to a bookshop and check those out when I am feeling brave enough to leave the house!!!

(sorry for posting in the wrong place! )
