have the cot all ready , new mattress the lot, but i'm reluctant for some reason.
what do you all think?
any answers from any mums, i only said sept/oct mummys in the title to get thier attention too!

hi hun, keeley's been in her big cot for a bout 8 wks now she likes it as she likes to have her arms out at the side lol.... are you scared?

yes!!! cot wont fit next to our bed, so its down at the bottom, feel a long way from him!
i'm just being stupid
thanks babe

Hiya, we have had Oliver in his cot since he was about 12 weeks old as he was getting too big for his moses basket. For us it the best thing we ever did as could stretch out and he now sleeps for longer which is great. It was scary for the first couple of nights as I was used to him the room with us but once I realised how happy he was I soon got used to it and now I love having our room back.

your not being stupid hun  keeley's cot fits in next to my bed but i would be scared if you she wasn't hun :D

Stanley is still (just about) in a crib by the side of our bed but he's outgrowing it really so I need to put him in his cotbed. Only problem is that's in his own room and I want him next to mummy :(

Ur not being silly hun

Alastair has been in his cot since about 2 weeks old, he was in his own rom but after he got really ill i brought the cot into my room. Iam just about to put the cot back into his own room

Hope this helps hun

Thea has been in her cot for about a week. I really didnt want her to stop sleeping in her moses basket but she was getting way to long for it! I didnt even buy the cot until the day she went in it lol

Im lucky though my bedroom is huge so i just moved the moses basket and put the cot next to my bed instead. Richard wants us to move it into her own room now but mammy just isnt ready for that!

Leorah went into her cot in her own room at 6 weeks. Up until then she's been co sleeping with me in a huge super kingsize bed so was used to being in a big space. I think change is harder for us mums, Leorah adapted with no problems and started sleeping better in her own bed :)

i have put hope in her cot but i am thinking bout getting a really big one as she is growing fast, i dont put her in her iown room yet though x

Hi Foxy

Gabriella went into her cot in her room just before she was 3 months; the reason we moved her was she was bashing her hands on the side of her moses and waking herself up.

You'll know when you are ready and it's not an easy decision. I was reluctant but I am glad that Gabriella is in her own room now though, she has much more room. :D

madison has to go into her cot/bed soon and im dreading it :(

im worried incase she dont like it

i know, thats why i've been putting it off with Louie!
mattress is still wrapped up in the plastic it was delivered in!

nope! rachael is still in her moses basket too and she will stay there until she no longer fits!

Otis was early as well with regards to moving him into his own room and in his own bed. He must have around 4wks, he wasn't sleeping very well in his moses basket and kpet waking himself and me up. He had already been having the occassional day nap in his room so I thought why not just put him in his own bed at night if he's okay in it during the day?
We all seem happy as we don't have to tip toe around our bedroom and he has a lovely big cot all to himself!
Foxymom, just do what you feel is right however I do agree with Skatty in that the change is hard for us moms than the babas!

Charlie was born in October and went into his own room at 7 weeks, his grunting and groaning was keeping me awake and he was much happier being able to stretch out. I have one of the monitors with the breathing sensor pad which makes me much more relaxed, if i hadnt had that i sont think it would have been as quick.
