Calling all of those who had 4D scan!

Hi Girls,

Sorry I am a week early in here but I just had a quick question...For those of you who have experienced a 4d scan, at what gestation did you have it done and how did you find it?

We have one booked in on the 28th and I am wondering if we are doing it too early or late?

We decided against it but the place we were looking at recommended them between 27 and 34 weeks for single babies x sounds like you're doing it spot on right time x

I had mine done at 26 & 2 and it was really clear. I think 28 weeks is perfect

I had one at 24+5 and it produced the pic on my avatar so I think they can get a fairly clear image from early on. 28 weeks sounds great though.

We had ours done at 28+3 and we got some really good clear images so your appointment seems spot on x

We've got ours booked for 21st, I'll be 30 weeks x x

We went for ours first at 29 weeks, pictures were OK but baby was in an awkward position so was not brilliant, sonographer only charged us half and said we could go back again for another try. Went back at 31 weeks and bubs had leg across its face plus cord in way so charged us nothing as no pics. Went back for 3rd and final try at 32 weeks was better but still not great. Got some pics but cord again floating in way so did not charge us full amount then either. We got some good pics from both attempts and also a DVD for each so I definitely think it was worth it, despite having a very awkward baby! I thought sonographer was very fair in his charging, we ended up paying 120 out of the 150 price.

Hope your bubs is more co-operative!
