I had an emergency section 3 weeks ago... My tummy is going down alot but I have abit of over hang over my section scar, I had a flat belly before I got pregnant! Does this over hang go?? xxx

Not always. I found they sewed me up really tight and so I have a "dip" where the scar is. I've never had a flat tummy though, so maybe that would make a difference. 3 weeks isn't a very long time.

My friend still has a 'pooch' as she calls it where she has a slight over hang over her scar :( her son is 5 but everybody is different , 3 weeks isn't that long so there's still time

Mine never went until I got pregnant again! Fully expect it back after this one arrives xx

Hiya, I had an emergency c section and my stomach went down more each day until about 6 months I'd say. Initially I was horrified as one side overhung more than the other by quite a bit and looked awful however my son is 11 months old and my stomach is actually way better than it was before much flatter than before pregnancy. I really wouldn't worry about it yet though as it's only been 3 weeks and like I said I reckon it took a good 6 months to go down properly. I remember the doctor saying to me that basically it takes 18 weeks for inside to heal even though outside looks healed (or something like that) also there is swelling inside.

I've had two csections and separated stomach muscles with my second baby. So have given up all hope on my stomach frankly! My youngest is four months old. I still have overhang, but still have some weight to lose. It's nothing I can't hide by tucking it into my knickers though.

Three weeks is still early, I still had a bit of a baby bump until about 4 weeks. The overhang is stretched skin, so even once everything settles down and the baby weight is gone, there's a chance it will be like that forever.

Mine did, currently pregnant with No.2 I had to work hard with Zumba and Kettlebells but THE moment I ate excessively or stopped toning up I got a bit of a flap, nothing major but it can be regained :-)
I should point out I took over a year to sort mine out though!

I had mine 6 years ago and still have an overhang I'm afraid. My stomach was pretty flat before I was pregnant but I am heavier now. It definitely decreases the less weight you have on you in my experience so if you lose your baby weight it might not be noticeable xx

My little girl is 18 months, unfortunately I do still have an overhang over my scar, I still dont like it but im warming to it a little more than before!Xx
