Has anyone suffered from BV? I think I may have it, need to book a doctors appt tomorrow.

Yep - when I had bleeding doc took a swab and came back with bv. Never even knew I had it! Had some gel which I used for 5 days and back to docs fri for another swab to check its all gone x

Does it cause any harm to the baby?
If I have it then it's only started/become noticeable within the last day or two, so hopefully I've caught it early.

What bv or the meds? It doesn't harm the baby but they do say it can cause preterm labour (but my gp said its not proven) I've no idea how long I had mine. Think it's pretty common so I wouldn't worry Hun x

Any infection down there can cause preterm labour (including thrush), but, it'd have to be quite a severe one and for you to have had it a while. This isn't an attempt to scare you at all, the chances are very slim, just make sure you check out any suspicions to be on the safe side

I went boots and they have some pessaries which regulate down there for bv and box says u can use when preg xx
