buying new baby??

im due on 29th dec going by scan 26th by my dates

so do i by a xmas present for baby or not?? im really stressing over this

Tbh will the baby know? You'll probably buy loads of stuff anyway like first teddy and bouncy chair etc if you're really stressing and upset about it then get maybe a couple of little ones?

I'm due end of October and I've only brought him 2 things! He'll be too young to know what the fuss is so I don't see the point and I'm sure everyone else will spoil him! It's a hard one with you cos your due so close, maybe get LO a couple of little things!

i know when i put my logical head on im like it wont know might see what my mum thinks it thngs like babys forst christmas baube and stuff like that

I don't think i would buy baba anything like a christmas present.

You'll be buying it loads of things anyway and then it would already have had it's official "first christmas" and it only get one of those.

I'd leave it until next year personally, when baba is more aware and everyone is less tired and can enjoy it more

I'm due a few weeks after you and have thought the same, just in case baby comes early or whatever. But decided not to get anything as when he does arrive we'll have bought everything for him anyway.

And if baby was to come early then I'd send OH out to get a little Baby's 1st Christmas baby grow or something.

We are not buying anything for him for Christmas as next year will make up for it when he is more aware of what is going on

its not about the presents its more about babys first christmas items that have dates on think i will leave it and if i happen to have peanut early i'll get my mum to go out and get stuff for me xx

I'm going to get a house of frazer bear, all my kids have one, my mumstarted buying the younger two them when it got to xmas when they were born, they are big and have a lovely year sewn on the foot pad , and ou get a different bear each year. I had to search on ebay to then buy the eldest a 1999 bear, which he loves now.

so I will see nearer the time, if baby arrives in time for 2010 , but should be a handful days into Jan with my section, so I can take my time and get a 2011 one next xmas.

Would that be something to get?

I must admit the special bauble thing wouldn't be able to be used as after a year or so, kids smash them off the tree! you only end up decorating the very top half of the tree, it looks very silly for a few years!

My baby will be about a month old when xmas happens. I do not think I will get her anything. She will be so small and there is so much to get for a new baby anyways...

all we are having is a baby's first christmas bauble and stocking but as he may not be here til 2 weeks before xmas he will get lots anyway and we want to make it more special next year when he is aware of what is going on.
