breast feeding with pierced nipple?

I used to have my nipple pierced. i took it out 2 years ago. I read somewhere that you couldnt breastfeed it you had your nipple pierced. does anyone know anything about that?

i know i am only 5 weeks pregnant but it has been something I have been thinking about since i was ttc.

any help would be greatly appreciated

Cant see why it would be a prob, there would be scar tissue where the bar was but your nips have lots of milk ducts so a few less shouldnt matter

Hiya - I had a pierced nipple and I breastfeed just fine.

i took my piercings out in tri 2 to heal up, i've had no problem with BF

Yeh, you can still BF if you've had pierced nipples. The milk may come out the old holes though. I took mine out about 3 years ago and yet still leaked out of the piercing holes
