Hi i did post a thread but i cant seem to find it :wall2:

Anyway i had to go to the hospital on friday regarding a recent blood test and they try ed to get me to start taking injections there and then but when i explained i had to see a blood doctor on monday as regarding the injections they told me that was fine so on monday i went to see the blood dr and took my medication they asked how i was and how baby was and she seemed to be very happy with she just explained to me that the reason they are putting me on these injections is to be on the safe side since when i was 18 i got a blood clot and found no reason why i got this so i have to go back to my midwife on the 1st Dec for a check up and also they will be showing my mum how to give me this injection because i know for a fact i wont be able to do it myself im too scared
So i have to take one a day and then take them for 6 weeks after baby is born so starting from next wed i shall be on them.

If anyone eles has been through this or knows of anyone please please let me know would be nice to talk to someone eles who knows what iam going through.

Glad you have the plan now, best to have them tho Amanda to be on the safe side, you just can't muck about with your health, your gonna be a mummy soon! Hope someone else has had them too that can chat to you about it more.

I remember reading your other post and was going to say I thought it was likely to be related to the clot you had as a teenager but felt a bit silly writing it so I never posted a reply.... Didn't want to worry you about it.

They've effectively put you on something to lessen the risk of you getting a clot again.

Hope all goes well!

Lxx

Is it clexane they've put u on? I'm supposed to inject my stomach daily due to high risk if blood clot from a combo of high bmi and previous section. I'm refusin to take them but have agreed to take them postnatally cos that's wen the risk is more increased. I injected approx 7 in total and they leave a big bruise but tbh isn't too bad to do xx
