Apologies in advance, this is probably gonna be a lot of detail!

I am currently in the early stages of pregnancy. According to my LMP I am about 5 weeks days but could be as early as 5 weeks 2 days. I’ve had 6 positives since last Friday but also a little bit of light pink spotting every time I go to the toilet, plus on and off cramping.

Yesterday I called NHS 24 as the bleeding was a little heavier and I felt really unwell. They sent me straight to A&E as a precaution of suspected ectopic pregnancy. I had another positive test there and was examined by a doctor but no scan. He discharged me with a UTI and told me to phone the EPAS today.

I did that this morning and they brought me in for a scan. I didn’t have a full enough bladder apparently for an accurate abdominal scan, and had to then empty my bladder for an internal one. The midwife then still couldn’t get a good look. I was asked to further empty my bladder and she tried again. She ended up saying she couldn’t see anything at all but I had a thick lining which was good. So either it’s a miscarriage or just too early to see.

I’ve had bloods done to measure my levels and she’s gonna be in touch tomorrow.

After that big ramble.... Has anyone else been scanned this early to not find anything and went on to have a continuing pregnancy? I’m obviously just gonna stress and worry in the meantime!

Thanks x

Sorry you’re going through this. Did they tell you your hormone levels? I had a scan at a really early gestation - but it was done based on hcg levels. Anything over 3000 they should be able to see something on a scan. I.e a sac etc.

If your level are below that then you won’t see anything necessarily.
Fx for you x
